I love watching your videos and how you make your cops and do different things on them. As a fellow Crafter’s and a fellow resin Tumblr cup maker I had a question if you can give me some tips. How long do you usually leave your resin on your cups like as in how many coatings do you put on your cups or what’s the most you should put?. Because when I first started out my cups weren’t drying properly and it was still sticky. I didn’t know if it had to do with how many coatings I was using or the mixture or whatever but now I figure that part out it was a mixture, but I just need to know how many coatings is the proper amount on the tumblers

Thank you! It depends on the design, but typically my cups have about 5-8 layers of epoxy on them. Each coat varies between 15-30ml. The further i get in the process, the thinner my coats are (hopefully that makes sense).

@@madebymal_studio yeah thanks for your info that helps a little bit. I mean I don’t put or what you do on the cops you know tons of vinyl and this and that and labels and stuff so that’s probably why you need as many coats on ur cups. Cause I use sticker designs and photo paper designs and stickers and material so I kind of use the last like 2 to 3 coats and I also sometimes use when I was using a resin spray to help as well. But now that I’ve mastered or trying to master the resin mixture, it’s kind of working better. Yes, a shame we can’t add any photos in the comments to show people stuff cause I’d love to show you one of my designs that I’ve done on a cup and how it turned out and thanks again have a nice day.
