Please don't feed these beautiful birds bread or seeds. It is really bad for them and will kill them. I know from personal experience😢. Their natural diet is nectar. Feed them freshly sliced apple with core and seeds removed or fresh grapes that they love. Lets be responsible feeders👍

Sure, its best to feed them fruit with nectar, but bread won't "kill" them. My granny has fed Rainbow Lorikeets bread dipped in honey for countless years... they survived.

Really bad food for lorikeets! Bread is killing birds - it fills them up and provides calories, but doesn't give the protein and fat they need to thrive. This is a big problem for many birds in urban areas that regularly get fed a lot of bread. Serious malnutrition it they eat bread regularly.
