Rainbow chests have a 0.0333% chance to replace a regular chest. Chests found upon clearing a room have a 0.001% chance to become a rainbow chest in addition to the normal 0.0333% chance.

Daruma: I think its OP espacially with Gold Amulet! Also its funny that you Unlock it by getting caught by one of these Flying hands wich in this Series happend on Accident and btw. I think Redo STILL has to get Caught by an Tarnisher to Unlock Hungry Bullets.. 😆 (I watched all 30 Episodes and if I missed it I'm Sorry)

I actually dont like it. If you dodged through a bullet already you don't really need to blank. It's idea is awesome but it feels like every time I get it I can't really utilize it.

Daruma is definitely OP but not a total gambreaker like some other horribly broken stuff. It makes rooms flooded with bullets so much easier to handle in general. The low recharge time is by far its greatest asset so get enough Coolness and it's practically an unlimited Blank!

I like the design and concept of daruma. I think it's a little op in the best way. I love that it's based on a real life thing. Those are always my favorite gungeon items/guns/etc: the ones with a story or reference. Hope you're doing well reto. You're fantastic to listen to when sick btw, especially gungeon. Nice, dark game with a nice guy.

Daruma like basically all Japanese words has equal weight on all three syllables - so the pronunciation is very similar to the word dharma with a small "ooh" after the r. In fact it straight up is a Japanese transcription of dharma. Pronouncing it correctly takes away the ability to keep the "dah rooma Jamaica" thing going but you gain the ability to make puns like "Daruma and Greg" so maybe it's a wash? :P The item has grown on me a lot as I've gotten better at the game. It's definitely one of the best active items. Meanwhile the trusty lockpick used to seem absolutely amazing to me when I was new and now I feel like it's basically hot garbage. When it works it's great, sure, but it does fail pretty often and feels real bad when it does. Basically the only way to get advantage from it is to wait until after the boss to make sure absolutely no keys dropped and then try it, because otherwise it's going to hurt you just as often as it helps. So maybe one or two locks a run? It also can trick you to try to do the sewers but you almost definitely have to take a risk on a chest when you're the character most reliant on getting a gun early. I've taken to using it on the sewer locks instead, but then you can block yourself from going. And it has a recharge time, so you have to take a risk before you know if you're low on keys...

daruma is elder blank but better, and unlocks in one of the most unconventional way. has no curse attached to it, charges quicker, and means you get to style on em. you dont get to blank at any time and you do need to dodgeroll over a bullet but honestly imo it saves you from wasting the charge and the "too good to use" mentality because of how quick it charges.

Ok I think the lock picks should have a 90 percent success rate, but you play a lockpicking mini game that gets harder depending on the rarity of the chest

I've ran into 2 rainbow chests on my own runs and 1 with a friend things are wicked rare fam only found 1 glitch chest tho so I assume they're more rare

I dont try and think trusty lock pick as 50% chest for free, I think of it as getting 50% of the chest that I wouldnt have gotten otherwise. In that sense, it is just more value. Is it better than some other active items? Nahhhhh, especially not this run :p
