In old siege versions, i was fucking around with a friend and launched us into a development map, and we could pick up eachothers weapons after dying, it was one a dev gamemode where you respawned. We were so confused, we tried weird stuff like blackbeards gun with it's shield. shields and stuff, it was interesting, never knew it was a thing. never knew how to do it again. Weird bug with an old version.

This brought back so many memories! I have been playing this game since July 2016 (season when bb and valk came out) and it was my first FPS, not knowing the first thing about such games. Loved every bit of it, especially Teo, because I would laugh so much from his videos especially his “briefcase” shenanigans with frost. One thing I’d like to add is back in the day, if you placed a claymore at the spot where they do the winning pose, you would actually get a kill animation as the claymore would persist in the same spot. Especially on house.

Another thing that i thought that could be mentioned in the section of Non ubisoft collabs is the collaboration that was done with the popular gacha game Arknights, called Operation Originium Dust, where in arknights you'd have Ash, Frost, Blitz and Tachanka be playable added characters you could pull from the gacha banner and an event with story bits involving these operators as well as interactions with anime style versions of Ela and Iana

46:58 Boy i remember cav 99 dmg pistol. It was 99 dmg but it didn't really down enemies in 2 shot. sometimes it took 4 to 6 shots to down people since pistols had outrageous recoil and and and if you were playing on a 100+ ms ping, it didn't register some shots at all.

In terrorist hunt only in old versions, capitaos LMG would have godly breaching powers against walls. It didn’t work with Gridlocks LMG (which is similar to capitao’s). Also maybe the glitch where you could get out during prep phase.

Rainbow Six Extraction was a heavily underrated game. It was repetitive at times yeah, but it was essentially Outbreak as a standalone game and it was awesome. With friends, it was a barrel of fun, and I hate that they scrapped support so early. Also, if memory serves, Jager is still alive in Extraction, and Lion's OP outline drone is kept as it used to be to make it easier to spot the aliens. If memory also serves, Zofia's withstand ability is also in this game. Mira was also promoted to REACT's head of R&D, creating a majority of the technology used by the operators in the game. Related to Extraction, the Containment event gave you access to special skins for use in Extraction if you completed specific challenges during the event. You also unlocked a special skin for Pulse in Siege if you owned Extraction on the same account. Ghost Recon Breakpoint takes place in 2025, canonically putting it after any of the events of Siege. As Sam Fisher appears in Breakpoint working for Fourth Echelon again, this essentially means that at some point between capturing Deimos and the events of Breakpoint, Sam left Rainbow and went back to work with 4E. Some of the more tactical and realistic movement you mentioned would have to be the way the operators would walk. When you looked down, they would move in a tactical sidestep, like real CTU operators do. It was eventually replaced with a more standard walking animation, and has been speculated to have been what actually caused raptor legs as it was changed around the same time raptor legs disappeared. There are multiple different explanations for why Rainbow is called Rainbow. One explanation is that it was named after the US military's rainbow plans of the 1930s, of which the last was Rainbow Five. Another explanation is that the flags of each nation that is a part of the organisation make up a literal rainbow of colours, and is named as such. I personally find the year one music to be the best in the game, not because of nostalgia, but because I really love that original menu theme that really got you in the mood for breaching and clearing. In relation to Pulse and Hibana's relationship, I do believe they have unique dialogue for when they're paired up together in Extraction, though I may be wrong. I do kinda remember Hibana saying something along the lines of "I've got you babe" when rescuing Pulse, though this could also be the mandela effect. Last but not least, you also hurt my soul when you called the Altair skin "straight up Ezio" 😂 Overall an awesome video dude. You have my vote for another, if ever you choose to make one 😎👍

I feel that if extraction didn't screw up the finely tuned destruction and the ammo management mechanic and instead leaned into a outbreak/B4B/l4d style campaign with you getting to swap ops every few levels with the opportunity to call in one person who was dead every level and made the MIA objective a random encounter sub objective that could show up randomly in addition to the other objectives would have made the game much more interesting. also feel they should have made the tactical realism arcade mode an option a host chooses to enable, along with other things like friendly fire dmg%, the old Tactical realism magazine system, etc would have extended the gameplay intrigue significantly. new level content as well would have helped too. overall i feel B4B does what extraction wanted to do better and that is offer a fun zombie horde game with much more of a emphasis on team composition and coordination. things siege players do already in siege. right now in extraction all you need to solve the game is some degree of subtlety and not blindly running around each corner trying to knife everything to death no matter the size or if your in it's line of sight. i will admit extraction does have one unique mechanic and it's the sprawl and it is a fun mechanic. i feel the laser sight should out right remove the flashlight on the guns you equip it on though and that the laser probably should have been given a limited ammo pool too so it isn't free to use forcing you to make more interesting decisions about ammo management. I think making the current extraction ammo boxes give less the higher the difficulty on top of making it so only the gun equipped gets ammo, then allowing gadgets to refill a single use from you instead heald reload while looking at it would have done wonders for the feel of the game. other issues the game has is the balancing issue of the infinite downs where you take the revive kit + zofia you literally can't die when you go DBNO. should have either made withstand a limited use thing per mission or made it so you use a revive kit before using withstand. it would allow the fun never gonna stay down build on zof while making it reigned in and require you to bring all sorts of gadgets to allow that to be a meme build. on top of the above echo is rather busted as while the drone is destroyable it isn't targeted by any enemies nor is there any environmental hazards that mess with it. he could be tuned a down a bit to make him unable to destroy nests while nerfing his damage to the rest of the enemies to make them take one more hit. as it now the AI doesn't react to his drone so there's no danger of hitting a tormenter or spiker with the drone risking it's loss. since they removed Thunt from siege proper they could have also done a separate campaign with terrorists too with the story/lore that since operation outbreak civil unrest has grown worse and with the events of extraction the terrorist cells are now hyper active as they perceive this to be fulfilling a doomsday prophecy/Armageddon and now your trying to stop a religious terrorist group from breaching the quarantine zone while keeping the archaeons contained. the third act could have the terrorists getting to a breach before react/rainbow and now you've got environments with terrorists and archaeons clashing as well as trying to fight you off. in addition you could have seen outbreak return and either have it act as a sort of prolouge or have it in lore be VR sims prepping you for missions vs the archaeons while it still counts as a normal mission MIA mechanics and all. I've had a little while to think over what i would have liked to see from extraction. and over time i think ubisoft should have steered it towards being the PVE element siege sort of had. however instead it would focus much more on PVE gameplay things with PVE campaigns for it releasing as either DLC or a tie in to the official siege season. make it the new season launch would give a temporary pass to the new extraction event that would expire a week or two later then make the event a permanent part of the game. imagine the hype if you heard about all the things you do at a normal SI but then they drop that extraction is getting a new campaign that ties directly into the current siege season and story.
