+Worth A Buy i have experienced some rubber banding, but it seems to be working rather good, voice chat i barely have not experienced , and the few players who uses mics, well let's just say they are not of the highest quality. There is barely any teamwork at all involved, since i do not play it with friends, and the only way to communicate is to press the left arrow which brings up a little marker, but 99 % of the time it's each on their own.

"Free DLC" Which you still need a season pass to get the new Operators, Unless you want to play 125 - 250 matches to unlock one op "Bug fixes" A few small bug fixes like the really easy ones, No hitreg fixes or anything. Pal, you don't NEED season pass to get new operators, those are only for those who are lazy or want some exclusive cosmetics.Playing 100+ matches is a small price to pay for free DLCs, or would you rather buy DLCs?. +bowser515 So far the micro transaction are nothing. Just fluff weapon skins you hardly see. Every player gets all the content in the game and there is little to no grind needed to unlock Operators (other characters). With 10h played I have about 70% of the Operators unlocked already. So the micro stuff is just for weapon skins and ingame credit increases which are not really needed at all. However, too me at least. Its pretty obvious that IF the Devs think they can get away with it. They might introduce "PayDay 2" like skin boosts. I say this because even the skins are tiered. Tier 1-3 skins can be bought or unlocked, but tier 4-5 can only be bought with R6 credits (real money). So, if the game gets pop and "MLG". I wouldnt be surprised if you see a Tier 4-5 or maybe 6 being slight weapon boosts as well which is needed in high tier PvP matches to avoid losing to equally skilled players. That said, they have not hinted towards anything like this, nor is anything like it in the game currently. All future Operators and Maps DLC will be free as well. Season Pass for example is just early access to Operators, not needing to unlock them, 5% credit boost and 600 R6 credits. Its practically pointless.

Feremir Yep, I guess i'm just getting too old for this rubbish. I'm not averse to spending money when it is deserved, I've spent hundreds of pounds on DCS: World for instance (so much more if you take hardware into account, Thrustmaster warthog, Trackir 5, Saitek combat rudder pedals etc etc) and own every module. But these so called AAA titles we are seeing of late and just not worth the money they are charging at all. You can't remove large amounts of content and still charge a premium price, something has to give because as we all know, you can't have your cake and eat it... Not for long anyway.

No campaign, just that alone is reason enough not to buy it.The biggest problem with these online only games is that once people stop playing them the servers get shut down and your game is rendered useless. Try playing this in a few years time, it won't work. If I plug in my 20 year old ps1 I can still play all the games. If in 20 years time I plug in my ps4 it isn't going to do much.

I must say , dissapointed about this review . You complain about thing like marking enemies however this is only on casual mode. Also this game is a competitive multiplayer game , therefore it was said very clearly a campaign was never intended. +Worth A Buy I agree that the server issues are absolutely unacceptable. however i would rather have 10 big good designed maps than 20 bad ones, and remember that the maps play out very different each game as the objective is located different places. And for me, the sound is very important , especially in tactical fps's. I am talking not just about hearing footsteps thought walls but how you can hear how the enemy walks on the roof of your building , you can hear what armor they got and what surface they walk on. It is hard to explain but try giving the sound design a thought next time you play .

Bought the starter edition pretty much a year ago for 7 Euros on a Steam sale and have played around 800 hours (admittedly, i've bought the year 1 pass for 20€, and the current season pass for 25€). The multiplayer is unbelievably good, paying the money does kinda suck, but Ubisoft (surpisingly) fixed a lot. Yiu get all base ops for free now, the year 1 ops only cost half the amount, lags and bugs occur, and will always continue to occur since it gets 2 new operators and either a new map or a map rework (basically revisiting old maps that don't work out really good for fairness/competetive reasons for example). So they constantly add new mechanics to the game, and so potentially game breaking bugs will occur by nature, but since Ubisoft does patches in between the seasons to fix these, so everything OK here too. Its definitely my favourite game.

Mack, this game takes a huge departure from the original Rainbow Six games, and yet you judge it harshly simply because it's not like the old ones... Then you go and judge the game on the PvE mode, which is in no way the main purpose of the game. I agree with you on the shitty mic stuff and the fucking awful connection issues. And then you have the problems with Uplay where the squads are hard as fuck to make work since almost every time one person or another will just lose connection while joining the match... I think it was more meant as a competitor to CS:GO, although a lot of the execution was sloppy, and they could have done better.

Thank you Mack, I'm a long time Rainbow Six fan myself too and I just didn't feel too keen on the whole idea of there being absolutely no singleplayer, but I was still interested. I tried to put my cynicism aside for the sake of some good rainbow six gameplay, I wanted it to be good, but the outrageous price considering the sheer lack of content compared to the other games has put me off entirely. Not only that, but honestly I think if you put this game side by side with some battlefield 4 or csgo footage there isn't that much of a difference in how they play really. It's supposed to be a tactical shooter, there's supposed to be moments of quiet preparation before you storm a room or a building, but it's just not there. It's just people running into eachother like any other shooter. Guess I'm going back to Vegas 2 and SWAT 4.

I got it for $45 on UPlay and it's currently $45 on Steam during the Winter Sale. I haven't had any problems with the servers (this is post patch 1.1 on PC). I'm loving the game. I held off on purchasing this until the patch update and sale. What changed my mind was the free-weekend where I crammed as many hours as I could into the game. Ubisoft really needs to make another free-weekend without stipulations (like giving out 4 keys to owners of the game to hand out) to really get this game going. $60 on a multiplayer makes people weary of attempting to purchase it.

Your reviews always save me a lot of money. I've always enjoyed Tom Clancy games (RB6, Ghost Recon, Vegas etc). But this is nothing like those games, no co-op campaign... the 'terrorist hunt' mode seems a bit shit. Even the multiplayer maps for Vegas were larger and more elaborate + all the customization options. I feel like games are going backwards these days, no way I'm paying $80 for games that seem to forget all the content that made their predecessors fantastic experiences. .

The density of the maps are what I enjoy plus they have pledged to add free maps and characters. Microtransactions are not essential to the game in my opinion. The actual shotguns are all usable as sniper shotguns. If it doesn't kill, it will make the enemies stumble and they can't shoot during a stumble animation. Also, the tags stay in place, in CBT the tags followed enemies, but the tagging of enemies now just tags where you saw them, but a lot of the enemies move, which is nice. It'd be pretty boring if they didn't move.

Got this during a sale on Steam and have put 28 hours into it so far. While I enjoy the core game the amount of bugs, connection issues and exploits are really stopping me from enjoying it all that much. I'm constantly having an issue where every few deaths someone kills me from an impossible location, then when I see the kill cam they were somewhere where I should have seen them and be able to have shot back. Seeing as this has been out for a while now I'm losing any sort of hope Ubisoft are going to fix the bugs and make the game good, they're probably busy churning out the next AssassinsCry Clancy game.

Yes counter terrorist units has heartbeat sensors and all those fancy stuff you maybe raging. And trust me even if you know where are the enemies in the game (at least some small percentage) they could kill you anyway so it isn't that much help most of the time but at least you know where to look. So.......mate.......I accept you opinion. You think that but as I experience you are always finding problems in every damn game which probably not really a problem.....maybe for you ok, and this is your channel. This is my first Rainbow Six game, and i like it alot. A nice change from fast paced COD and BF games. I haven't had the lag and rubber banding that you've had. I've only been kicked/lost connection once.But i do have the weird mic issues. The mic issues are very annoying. Didn't realize anyone could hear me til after a while people started cursing at me to knock off the britney spears singing. I've been really enjoying it. I got my key for about $34 though, is it worth $60? meh i dunno, so far i've had much more fun than i've had in COd and in some other games that seem to have much more content. thanks for the video.

This is one the most disappointing games I've ever played. I understand people like this game and the reasons or that is that it's one of the only tactical shooters of its type on the market. The reason why I'm mad is that the rainbow six Vegas games are my favourite games and this game is nothing like it. I don't mind siege but it's not a RSV game. Wish they just gave it another name. Btw the community is toxic af. Your own teammates shoot you for trying to talk on the mic and helping them out.

I picked this up from a redbox on a free rental and I never wanted to return it. It doesn't compare to search and destroy (which I hate) in the least bit. There is tension in every game. Voice chat makes it so much better. It's not a cash grab and it's not call of dutyized. I hate that term. People call any game that you can ADS call of duty and that's just not the case. The game isn't worth 50 pounds or $60 it needs a campaign but definitely pick up if you find it on sale. Rent it and give it a chance you won't regret it

I was hesitant to get this without a campaign. I did it anyway, and I LOVE IT. The micro transactions are useless and purely cosmetic. Not pay to win style. I play it on PS4 with a shit internet connection and never have lag issues. This is the most fun I have had with an online game since SOCOM 2. Easily.

+Michael Sørensen Good point, mindless consumerism is the enemy of quality, and it's really starting to show in gaming. Season passes, day one dlc, pre orders, yearly installments of franchises that have become little more than holding patterns (CoD, AC). Publishers and devs keep doing it because consumers allow them to. And they're hugely succesful at it, too. On top of that, try saying one bad thing about a game of platform and the fanboys are jumping at you to call you a troll and what not. This behaviour is turning promising products to shit.

Michael Sørensen Did you play this game? The shooting isn't point and click. CoD is point and click. The multiplayer also is definitely not mediocre. It's extremely innovative and unique. Find me a first person multiplayer shooter as tactical as this game. I'm not being a fan boy, I'm calling things as they are. This game is meant to be a multiplayer experience. It not having single player doesn't make it any worse.

I've played the Beta and felt that immediately. You feel so disconnected and non immersed if you play in random pubs. It's not something you get into and get a guaranteed good game with tactical call outs. You HAVE to have friends who play this or else you're stuck with Rambos. Its good that it makes you want to play competitively every game but it sucks when your team is crap.

Love the co-op myself but it's definitely not worthy the full price tag. It doesn't offer much to justify that price. In terms of content nor depth. Got a key for $30. That's what the retail price should be. This won't have much of a playerbase unless they significantly reduce the price. Evolve and Titanfall spring to mind. The latter is selling for a couple of bucks now yet it's still struggling to retain a playerbase.

Mack you should really change your sponsor from greenmangaming to something else, I went to GMG to get Battlefront the day after it released and they took my money but I didn't receive a code, they didn't even list on their website or email me that they had no codes left and after doing research I found out that I'd have to wait 2-3 weeks to receive one. It was only after three support tickets and an angry tweet when I got my money back. I dont know if this happens often but others claimed that the same situation had happened to them. After that I cant trust the site, and the only reason I went to them was because of your videos. nice review btw :)

On Xbone this game is fantastic. The anti-CoD where every move matters. It's not an easy game. On a rare match, there is some rubber-banding but it's few and far between. This is the first game that I don't agree with you, it's a very welcomed change from the average shooters today.

I was on both the closed and open beta for xbox one. Never lagged like what I saw on your vid. Alot of people didnt have mics. You can mute the ones that do though. I had a blast playing it, but I knew what it was going in....so I wasnt dissapointed. Does it make want to play a REAL Rainbow game....YES.... Hi GuysMy son has been enjoying this game for more than 400 hours and he can kick my but with any gun and has built up friends from all over the world and it's worth every sent.We play from South Africa with the worst ping in the world and I haven't seen the lag that your talking about. It's 2016 with gunsthat can trace a person so tagging is fine in this day and age. This is the best game ive seen in years and my son that getsangry with bad team mates can still rule a match so he loves it so I think its great.Very tactical and a 1000 miles from call of duty. I hated all pvp games where some players camp and braveheart fans like me run in and get shot by campers so the fact that the one team must camp and the others must advance is great with a time limit.All credit to the developers.

Although I agree myself the lack of a campaign really doesn't mean much for me. I prefer specifically single player games for my single player experience (Fallout 4 for example). So really for me if they fix the lag and it goes on sale on steam this will probably be a title Ill be picking up.

BO3 campaign isnt special and was literally worth $10 but no one flipped about that. Many if not all COD players buy it for muliplayer and not one reviewer bats an eye. Siege makes an innovative, new, breath of fresh air with no campaign and it's as if the world ended simc they want $60. I can see why the price tag is hard to swallow but worth more than BO3 and I have put more time in this than fallout 4, bloodborne, and rocket league. I am a huge Tom Clancy fan and IMO this game is a great fit into the Tom Clancy video game legacy. 8/10 from me on ps4 and well worth it especially considering the amount of communities and clans developing around this game
