What are normal conditions for mid May at Big Bear?
@TravelsThroughNature9 ай бұрын
Early mornings can be cold around 20-35 degrees, afternoons around 40-60 degrees. Snow should be melting on north shore, great time of year for trout fishing.

@@TravelsThroughNature thank you - looking forward to fishing Bear Lake for the first time in May. Thanks for the vids!

@HotRodReverend Awesome, its a great lake to fish. Try fishing the North Shore of the Lake near the Red House, usually best during this time of year. Good Luck out there and Enjoy your trip! 🎣

@@gerardoblancas5823 I have no idea I’ve never fished in big bear. I’m from Arizona. I will try this north shore area first tho.

Have you heard about how fishing is on the north east side of the lake right now? Planning to come up this weekend
@TravelsThroughNature Жыл бұрын
Not sure how the fishing is over there, but the fish move around. Might be good on that side of the lake.

Thank you for the great content! I was wondering if you had any recs for first-time Big Bear fishers? You mentioned din the video that corn color did well, is that usually the case there? Also where do you recommend fishing from shore during the spring time? Thanks!
@TravelsThroughNature Жыл бұрын
Fishing from shore is good all year at Big Bear. I recommend setting up a Carolina Rig with a leader from 12- 30 inches long. Corn seems to do well along with the pale garlic powerbait. I like to fish from the "red house" to the big bear observatory this time of year. The Dam is good fishing during summer time. Good luck out there 🎣🤙

Great fishing bro! How long was your leader and how far did you cast out?
@TravelsThroughNature Жыл бұрын
We were using a longer leader, about 2.5ft or more. Casting out maybe 20ft
