It's probably easier to do the first part, the inside of the rainbow, by rolling a long log and cutting in half

Wouldn't it be easier if you just made a cylindrical sky blue roll, wrap thin layers of colours all the way around it from purple to red, then slice the whole roll/cylinder in half to get two rainbows, then continue from there? Seems like it would be way easier.

cheesenketchup You'd cut the rainbow roll in half THEN proceed with clouds and the rest of the blue sky :) You'd only make the centre blue sky bit under the rainbow, then continue around with all the colours to red. You'd slice there THEN add the clouds and the rest of the sky.
