There's an Ayodhya in Thailand too. Indians merchants etc spread Buddhism there. Hence, you'll see many of them including Waman with the Tilak/ Tika, and wearing jewellery similar to Indian jewellery. Lots of similarities with Indian culture and ofcourse Buddha statues.
