If pine nuts are too pricey, try Cashews or Macadamia nuts (similar in flavour), or if that's still out of your budget, maybe try sunflower seeds 👍🏼

Pine nuts are expensive but have a lot of food value. I haven’t bought pine nuts in many years because of the price. But these can be replaced with cashews or toasted hazelnuts, macadamia nuts, even sunflower seeds. I used to but cannellini beans in bulk until the place I bought them from stopped carrying them in bulk. Something this recipe makes me think of is that long ago hummus was made with cannellini beans or any bean that was available. The reason that garbanzo beans became the go to bean for the hummus recipe is that they were the cheapest bean to get making it easy for many people to be able to make the delicious dish. This looks amazing what you’ve put together here, but I myself would replace the pine nuts with some of the alternatives. I may even get just a few pine nuts to add to the mix, but if I made it often I would have to find another way to make it work. Thanks for the recipe. It does look delicious. I’ll try it my version. Your dishes are always yummy!

Looks fantastic. I'd hold the oil on top (water is fine! Or just put the toppings minus oil or water) but yum! Your hummous is epic (again I hold the oil) because that ice water/ice cubes really makes it creamy. It's so simple but so creamy 😊🙏🏻

That lemon squeezer. Sweetheart. Oh my gosh. Please understand I’m not trying to shame you; They are specifically designed to have you put the CUT SIDE DOWN. The squeezer will effectively turn the rind inside out and get almost every single drop of juice in the process.

I see people using citrus presses wrong all the time, and even food KZbinrs are no exception. I know it seems like a good fit to put the cut side up, but that's wrong - you're meant to put the cut side down, towards the holes, and then the round press will crush the whole thing and kinda turn it inside out. The way she does it in the video, the juice has to squirt out the sides, and not through the holes in the bottom.
