RAINBOWS and WATERFALLS | Top 10 Oregon waterfall hike | Sahalie and Koosah Falls

Two of the most popular waterfalls in Oregon are a must-see whether you live in Oregon or on any road trip. The 73 foot Sahalie Falls and 74 foot Koosah Falls are spectacular waterfalls. This is an easy loop hike along the McKenzie River in the Cascade Mountains. What is so great about this hike is that you get to see both waterfalls from both sides of the river. Most people see both waterfalls from one side of the river and then head back to their car. But doing the loop is well worth it to see both sides of the falls.
After a bit of rain, the sun came out. And what a treat. I was able to see some spectacular rainbows. And the McKenzie River was awesome. It is a beautiful aqua blue color with many tiny waterfalls along the trail.

Agree 100%. Beautiful waterfalls, river, and trail. I was able to catch some nice rainbows as well. Most people check out Sahalie and walk back to their car and leave. They don't know what they are missing.

Two awesome waterfalls for sure but not recommended for swimming. You will be swept away by the river.

About how long was that trail? Is it a loop?

You can do an out and back or loop hike. You can see both waterfalls from the east side of the river by doing an out and back hike which is only about a mile total. But I recommend doing the loop trail so you can see both waterfalls from both sides of the river. It's about 3 miles total. Trail is easy.
