Jackie, I'm not sure if you realize, but you have written 'another' masterpiece that I personally right now am feeling with extreme emotion, as I am in awe. I am listening now for the second time, and sure I will listen many times more. You have this unique ability to not only write a brilliant piece of music, but to express it in your own and unique way that the true listener can only hear and see. I don't see this as a 'gift' that others might. A gift is something that has been handed to you...so why be proud of it? No your talent isn't a gift, it is rightly earned. It is earned by many years of practice and passion that has catapulted you to be able to write brilliance on a level that is hard to climb above. True music tells a story...a story the composer may have envisioned, while the listener may see another story, a story that they see from hearing it. So what you have done then is 'give' a gift, as apposed to receiving one. And that, the listener...can only thank you for.

Hello Jackie, You play this composition with so much love in your heart that its memorizing to watch your your body movement's and your fingers glide so gently and yet stronger when the piece requires it. You are a wonderfully trained pianist for certain. It surely must have been a dream come true to have been in a HBO documentary. You certainly have the talent in every sense of the meaning. The piano is probably the most beautiful instrument to the ear and you are blessed to have learned it so very very well and compose your own pieces. I loved what I just heard. Wow Carl! I am blown away by your beautiful message and I think I may even feel just a little taller now ;-) I LOVED composing and playing this music so much! Music is my number one passion and music began playing in my head when I was just 4 years old and I asked my parents for a piano out of the blue. Yes, that HBO gig was very nice and hope to be able to get other offers sometime, but won't hold my breath....we live in a world of amazing talent and lots of it.
