Tassie Boys Prospecting

Күн бұрын

A location deep in Tasmania’s wilderness has been hiding away large gold nuggets for hundreds if not thousands of years. The access to this location is gruelling hike through the Tasmanian wilderness all off track.
After several days exploring this river I find a bend in the river with a giant crevice holding the most gold nuggets I’ve ever discovered.

Another excellent video, as you said visibility wasn’t great but you could still see most of the gold underwater. I think you have said before in a video or maybe Rob did, you’re not allowed to sell the gold you find which I find bonkers. What is the reason for this??

Gladdens many that you'd chosen to share this, Levi, your expectations exceeded through the effort you put yourself through in a freezing midwinter. That line of golden soil and wealth for toil, lands abounding with nature's gifts, that those that love these environments engage with them with great respect shines through, all true nuggets, you, your mate, Rob, all the Tasmanian folk we've seen, frankly, and all the mainland folks you've come by, every one of them, so, truly, up theirs to the crummy authorities, they're both disengaged with communities and totally disinterested! They are the shames of the nation, bringing the smaller communities down, engaging in defamatory prosecutions, lord over public lands and recreational activities, and seem to fester in every state and territory, needing the public regularly to arise and demand better, hope Tas has that soon. Your gold is yours, as you're part of the Federation, and Commonwealth laws apply to that gold, look up the Austrac financial tracking requirements for selling gold, you'll be surprised to see it's relatively simple, and applies equally to all Australians, as the idea of that gold "belongs to the Tasmanian Crown" is ridiculous, as there isn't one, it's the Australian Crown! Chucky 3 is King of Australia, there's no separate Tasmanian King! It's only Tasmanian bureaucrats who think they're Princes of the Universe. I'd let Jacquie see my comment and she could rise in parliament in Canberra and give your state a wake-up call on your basic rights, it's the 170th anniversary of the Eureka Rebellion by the way, demand your rights, as you're demanded in taking responsibilities, while they answer to themselves whether they're providing us with "public service"! May there be another Gold Rush, the old one made our Marvellous Melbourne the richest city in the world at one point, and the rebellion giving ordinary people equal rights as citizens as those who had it through private property ownership, throughout all the states, eventually. Your gold laws seem 170 years out of date! Cheers, Gabi of Narre Warren, Australia Felix (pre Queen Victoria's name for Victoria).

I never cease to enjoy the videos of the incredible Tassie forest & rivers that you (& Rob) bring to us Levi. The fact that you sometimes get a big haul of gold is a bonus that I believe makes all your viewers happy for you. To me the iron (?) coating on the gold adds to its character. A just reward for your hard effort. PS. Here in W.A. it is the heat & potential lack of water that must constantly be in a prospectors mind. 🥵 🥶.

Sometimes I think the crevice your digging in, is the reef. Or part of it. Especially after seeing the gold cleaned with HCl. Years of big rock and boulders bashing over that brittle quartz ,slowly releasing the gold. Which than sinks deeper into the crevice. Just a thought. I'm sure there is other mixed in with it, but that rough gold came from there. I dig gold out of quartz vein that looks just like that. Great video! May all your days be golden.😊
