Rainger RT2 Double Swag Unbox and impressions is the first look of my new swag. Australia has a real shortage of camping gear and I had the opportunity to purchase the swag.
This is not Sponsored or anything like that. I paid full price and as you will see the biggest selling point is the mattress in my opinion.
This is not a in depth review it is just a unbox and impressions video.

Great video I’ve been looking at getting one, Have you used it yet how did you find the mattress compared to crash pad ? That’s my main concern looking at these swags is what will be most comfy

Hi Daniel, yeah we have used it the weekend I got it. In regards to rhe mattress, no one can come close to comfort. This swag is the best swag I have seen, set up and slept in. I love it so much. Wish I had the single one aswell but bought the crashpad single last year in September and can't justify spending more money when I already have 7swags haha

Hey Dave! Thanks for the video. I was about to pull the trigger on a Darche Dusk to Dawn double swag but then I found this - do you have any experience with the Darche swags and can you comment on any difference in quality of the canvas/if the Rainger is worth the extra $200?! Thanks man, appreciate the video!

Hi James, You are more than welcome. I have seen a lot of my mates that own Darche Dusk to Dawns and they compare well. The Rainger has it on comfort with the bigger mattress for sure. The canvas are very similar and I mean extremely similar. I actually almost bought the same swag over the Rainger. When I went to buy the Darche, I found the mattress was not as good, I had to spend extra for the bag and just did not have all the extra features that the Rainger had and to be honest, the selling feature of the Rainger was the company itself. I don't care that a product can fail, only reason I care is when I know the customer service is up to crap. And with that, the Rainger wins first hand. I have never seen a company go above and beyond as much as Rainger Supply Co. And to let you know I paid full price, I do not work or have support from them. I have a full on crush on their business model. I wish all companies were like Rainger. Sorry reply is full on and man crushing haha but yeah I recommend Rainger swags not just coz it is a awesome Swag jammed packed with features you wouldn't think to have but love to have when you have it, it is the almost family like support you get with Rhys. Aaron as well haha.

But yeah sorry just want to add, the 100mm mattress, the extra floor with boot bag, the quality of guide ropes is amazing. The guide ropes alone just add the the quality. Having glow in the dark cordege with actual metal fastners, the ability to tighten the guide ropes and not stress about whether things will hold up. Yeah you have the added side poles to make one of the flaps a mini awning is cool and the battery bank is a nice touch. Charging two phones and running the lights is pretty cool

I actually hit them up on Instagram today to ask about when the woodland colourway would be back in stock (which isn't until around xmas/new year) and Rhys got back to me super quick which was great. I love the thought they've put into the extra features and it's great to hear that the quality is up there with other top tier brands. Hey Dave Thanks for the video mate, I’m looking at putting a Rainger swag on order as they are out of stock at the moment and they are saying that they are waiting for a shipment. Do you have any idea where theses are made? Is it written on the swag any where as I am have trouble finding that information online? I love the fact that they have a 100mm mattress I reckon that would be a bit more comfortable than my current 50mm mattress……. Cheers Nathan

Hey Nathan, You are more then welcome. Yeah I am waiting for the Single RT1 in the woodlands colour myself to come into stock. I do actually know where they are made as I talk to the owner often. They are made like nearly every other brand in China like Darche, Crashpad, 23zero and a few other well known brands. Quality wise they have gone over them like a fine tooth comb. The amount of research into not just the product but the manufacturing company has been carefully chosen. Oh the 100mm mattress hahaha well that is the main reason I will be replacing my current crashpad with the RT1 Rainger, pure bliss. Remember that you are not just buying a swag, you are buying a part of Rainger Supply Co. The owners are like you and I and are happy to always chat if you send them a message on Instagram. Hey mate been looking at getting this swag for a while now. How do you rate it after using it for a while? Also is the bag big enough to keep you bedding in the swag ( sheets, sleeping bag or 2)? And would there be room to fit 2 pillows in the bag..... it looks massive

Hey Legend, I rate the swag, but mine is a first-generation RT2 swag. The bag does not fit the bedding. I wasn't able to store anything in it except the swag itself. I know the RT1 has a big bag and can fit bedding in it. I would recommend messaging Rainger on Instagram. Rhys and Aaron are extremely approachable and love to chat.

Hahaha yeah first go i struggled. You could probably fit a summer sleeping bad in there. I couldn't fit the crashpad sleep system in it aswell as the swag.

Yeah it is awesome, the lights work really well and the battery bank sits perfectly in the pocket. Hahaha yeah had to throw in the pose. Did you like the seasoning session at the end?

@@DestinationOffroad Yep the self seasoning gave me a laugh. Do you always hose your swags / tents down before you use them?

@@FlatBrokeAdventures hahaha had to do it. One for the comments from the walkaround video. And yes canvas tents and swags need to be seasoned first off. The companies don't seal them as they are easier to sew untreated. Soaking the canvas allows the material to shrink as it dries in the sun. Sealing all the needle holes. They still have seam sealer where the pvc floor attaches to the canvas.

To be honest, I have only used it a handful of times. The missus doesnt like how confined swags are so yeah. I might start using it for myself during summer.

@@DestinationOffroad only problem with the 2 hoop swags is the sagging in the middle. Do u have the 23zero bandit ?

@@gregdogg10 no, I have seen the bandit and thought about getting one, but to be honest, my crashpad single swag has been the only one that doesn't sag in the middle. But yeah for a double swag the Bandit would be a awesome solution for a freestander.

@@gregdogg10 Yeah, I use a Stretcher so I dont feel it as bad. I should try it on the deck to see. I thought being 70mm, It wouldn't be a problem though. Talking of mattresses, The Raingers is the best, by far. Nothing can beat it unless you modify an existing setup.
