Best thing about decals for Rainshadow rod blanks is they give you two decals because invariably you will screw one up when applying it.....

For the smaller decals like Immortal series Karry Batson gave me a good tip to wrap the ends in thread to help keep the label from pulling up when epoxying.

It is possible to follow the install instructions in this video and still have decal edges lift in certain situations such as, cold installation environment, unfinished/sanded blank finishes, thin butt section diameters, etc. Common fish decals on the market are printed on a fairly thick substrate which can also be prone to lifting at the edges. A good fail-safe step builders can take is to coat the decal with 1-2 coats of color preserver (and let them cure) before applying the finish coat.
