I loved the faint sound of customers chatting with my cafe jazz playlist on loop. Our little coffee shop was forced to close down due to the pandemic. She came in without an umbrella. I could tell because she looked like a wet poodle in that fur coat. "Have a seat? " I said as I got up and held her chair. "Got a bit wet, eh? " "You don't know the half of it, " she said, sitting down. "The animals are starting to pair up out there." She lit up, a Virginia Slim, the wafting smoke from her tip doing pirouettes for me until she blew it to smithereens with her first exhale. "At least it'll keep Mickey Mugface from moving around too much. He hates the rain. " She smiled. "Name's Alice. Since we're gonna be trailing the same dirty con man, we should get to know each other." I motioned for the waiter to bring a couple of cups of joe. "The name's Rant. Rick Rant. Private gumshoe." "Yes, I saw the trail on the carpet." Alice took a draw on her cig, then slowly blew smoke my way. I could swear it was the shape of her lips by the time it reached me. "I know you federal types. You look down on us workaday p.i.'s. But we're here for the same reason, right? " Alice squinted and smirked. "You've got me all wrong, Rick. I admire a working man. And yes, we both want Mickey behind bars. You for your client, and me for the Justice Dept. " I nodded in agreement, and we sipped our coffee, the steam dancing up along with her smoke. "Nice outfit, " I said. "But why the fur? " She replied nonchalantly. "It's faux fur. It'll dry quickly. Besides, it's ideal for not spooking Mickey. He's used to hanging around dames in furs. " I nodded. She knew what she was doing. And so we waited in that coffee shop, sipping and conversing, until the weather let up, and we could resume the tail on our man.

This video got me through SO MANY nights of study and SO MANY All-Nighters, SO MANY mental breakdowns, SO MANY cries( yes I cried while writing coding homework.), I just wanna tell you guy that I wanted to give up SO MANY times, but I bit down my teeth and pull it through, if I can do it then ANYONE can do it! Although I don't have to study for school now, but I still need to study for certifications, since Information Systems is updating everyday, I will still use this video as my study video, just not gonna cry anymore LOL since there's no due date. Wow, finally got with school. It's been a rough 5 yrs. Thank you video uploader, you have no idea how much your videos helped me. And now at last, can someone tell that woman stop laughing. lol

Please make more like these! Where its rainy with jazz music and subtle chatter in the background. Maybe with different jazz music though instead of the same music. This is so comforting and it's the perfect amount of rain and chatter. It's just that the song in the background gets a little too boring after a while

Ah. This is what he dreamed of. It was far better than anything else he could give himself. The rain outside gave him a welcome excuse to slowly sip his warm apple cider, enjoying the heat of the cafe versus what it likely was outside. Cold. It had started raining during his visit here. Since he had ignored the forecaster's warning this morning and hadn't brought an umbrella, he had decided to stay here until the storm ended. And if it didn't....well, that's what warm showers at home were for. But the rain and his cider weren't the only reasons he was staying here. He had been served by a brunette, and those eyes were impossible to get out of his head. That infectious smile, too, was difficult. Staying here was the only way he could catch a glimpse of the beautiful stranger as he went along his job. Rainy days, it seemed, became the best.

POV for Studying: You're a college student who has decided to cram in a study session, you're sitting a small round table at a local cafe. Your papers and notebook are skewed all over your table, your coffee sits to your side halfway drunken. You gaze into your laptop listening to your playlist while reviewing your notes. You don't know how long you've been there, just that somehow studying in this atomsphere works for you. POV for Relaxing: It's another slow day as your shift as a barista begins. The cafe was fairly small, and had a small customer count. Lunch hour arrives as the smooth jazz plays and you watch the patrons of the restaurant eat and chat. It is a simple job, but calming one that you love.

I can't believe the level of time/money/effort the creator must have put into this. Can you imagine renting out a coffee shop and paying a musician to play background music for 8 straight hours? Not to mention paying 4 or 5 other people to engage in lively small talk the entire time. AND planning everything perfectly to coincide with a rainy day. Amazing!

Reminds me of my time when I worked off 5th avenue in NYC. Gregory's was right downstairs. So many rainy days, I would just ask my coworkers in the diamond company, "do you want some coffee?" And I would just run downstairs in the pouring rain to go get some for all of us. This is exactly the ambience I would walk into. Love my memories of NYC.

There is actually an exact point in my life at which I fell in love with the small-cafe-in-a-thunderstorm aesthetic. I used to do track in high school, and since my school didn't have its own track, we would have practices on Wednesday nights at a public track a ways away. One of those nights, it started raining mid-practice and by the time it was over, the rain had escalated to a thunderstorm, to the point that my dad, who was driving me home, realized at some point during the drive that he couldn't drive in this, so we stopped at Tims, got hot chocolate, and waited for the rain to ease up. We somehow lucked out and managed to get the seats by the fireplace - for any non-Canadians out here, some Tims have a fireplace and the seats next to it are these super comfortable plush red armchairs, and since they're the prime spots, they're always taken. In this particular Tims, the fireplace just so happened to also be in a corner right next to a huge floor-to-ceiling window, and sitting on that armchair, with the crackling fireplace, sipping hot chocolate and watching the thunderstorm outside... it's a feeling that I've been chasing for pretty much my entire life ever since.
@cassondraforeman Жыл бұрын
Sounds like something that my dad would do. My dad was taking my sister to Oklahoma to visit a campus that she was interested in. They were walking and it got really cold so my dad asked her if she wanted to go to Starbucks and grab a hot chocolate. he would definitely do the same thing for me if the situation called for it. I feel that we should always be grateful if we have good and loving parents.

You come in from the cold rainy night, and stop by your favourite coffee shop. You notice that the coffee shop was a bit more quiet and thats what you prefer. Some smooth jazz comes on and all the events of today come flooding into your train of thought, you start to notice every rain drop hitting the side of the glass of the window and you start counting them. 1. 5. 10. 30...it keeps adding up, but you can't help but wonder. "It sure is raining...." (Continue the story mates, I would love to read your opening)

@lukasScott, they slowly lower their eyes and take a sip of their drink, from the aroma you guess its chamomile tea. as you look back into your sketchbook, you hear the sound of a chair sliding back. your eyes dart up and you see they're making a way towards you. but instead of sitting down at your table, they continue on past without a second glance. you feel a weight that was not there a moment before rest on your shoulders. looking back down at your sketchbook you see the face is only half completed. well it's worthless now anyway. you begin erasing your work. your wiping the last traces of rubber away when someone asks if this seat is taken. without looking up you respond 'no. go ahead.' and hear a chair slide back once more. your neck prickles as you smell the familiar scent of chamomile tea, and you sharply lookup. you smile at this person. they look down at your sketchbook and frown. 'too bad, it really was quite pretty.' you smile back and respond, ' it's of you.' the weight lifts from your shoulders once more and that rainy day becomes just a little brighter, and that cozy cafe in downtown Detroit, a little happier.

Aisha Stone and then a bomb goes off across the street and the everyone panics. You run outside and you tell the woman to follow you. As you head to your car another explosion is heard behind you. The cafe is gone and you sense the woman’s fear. As you approach your car you see three suspicious men peering into your car window. You yell, “Hey! What’s going on?” They just stare at you, as a bag is placed over your head. You hear a woman’s voice say, “Put him in the trunk,” as you feel a blunt force hit your head and you black out. You wake up to the woman who pulls the bag off of your face. Your strapped to a chair zip ties on your hands and feet. She tells you, “You and your family ruined my life.” But you have no idea what she is talking about so you reply by saying, “I don’t know what you’re talking about, I haven’t been in contact with my family in years.” She rebuttals saying, “6 months ago you and your family tied me up, just like we have you now, and tortured and killed my fiancé in front of my face because I broke up with your brother.” “Brother?” You ask yourself. Then as fast as you asked that question, memories came flooding back in, what you and your family did to her, your brother, the cries of her fiancé. Something inside of you tells you that you need to escape, you dislocate you’re thumb and wriggle your hand free, but wait for her to get closer and then, POW, a punch straight to her jaw. She’s out cold. You escape from the other zip ties and check, Natalia was her name, for any weapons. She had a gun on her so you take it. Memories keep flooding in, your 10 years of training, 5 years in special forces, etc. You walk outside and encounter the three men. They try to subdue you, but you shoot them. Only enough to incapacitate them, but not kill. You find your way home and as you open the door, four people are sitting in the dark. You point your gun at them and ask, “Who are you? Why are you in my home?” The voice of a woman replies saying, “How could you not remember your own family.” The lights turn on and the woman is seen with a smirk on her face. Next to her your brother, father, and your butler. (Continue on)
