RAINY DAY COFFEE SHOP AMBIENCE: Piano Music and Rain Sounds With Distant Thunder

I wanted to do something a little different this week, so I added a layer of soft piano music to this coffee shop ambience! (I'm not sure if this artwork was meant to be a coffee shop, but I didn't know what exactly to call it (though "Cozy Coffee Corner" or "Coffee in the Not-So-Sunny Sun Room" works too, if you will!). I didn't add the typical background sounds to this one, just the rain, distant rolling thunder and piano music for ultimate relaxation. Grab a book and enjoy your time in this rainy day coffee shop with piano music playing and rain tapping against the window.

This is one of the greatest ambience perfections on KZbin. Even with the music, it keeps the music UNDER the ambient sound level so as not to be the main thing you hear. It's like the best of both worlds for those of us who prefer the natural sounds over music.

I come back to this video a lot. Like more than I'm supposed to. This specific video tends to help me fall asleep, it really seem to relax me and calm me down. It helps me not to overthink, or think at all. I also come here when I'm reading, it helps me focus on the story and doesn't get me distracted. I'm a rain lover, anything with rain really gets me in the mood. Same thing goes to thunder and more.

When I lived in Germany, I used to visit a coffee shop in Giessen called Mr. Jones. It's right across from the train station and so is a fantastic place to sit and people-watch. Some of my finest days was sitting at a table in the corner, looking out the window and watching ripples form from raindrops in puddles. Oh, I'd bring a book and intend to get some quality reading time in over a cup of coffee. But I'd usually watch people and ripples instead. If you're ever in Giessen, you could do a lot worse things than spend a few hours at Mr. Jones.

So... for lockdown valentines day, i popped this on on my TV and "transfirmed" my living room into a tea room for afternoon tea! I LITERALLY went the full hog, laminated tearoom open signs, silk table cloth, 3 tiered cake stand with finger sandwiches, cakes, scones etc and a pot of fresh loose leaf English tea and tea lights and candles everywhere... This is a great one! The beautiful detail of the raindrops on the windows, the gorgeous array of golden lights across the top (subtly swinging), that French press, the old-fashioned radio on the right, the touch of muted purple in the shrubs on either side, the chair that is such a satisfying shade of deep green. This was my first ambient sound video and I instantly fell in love. I have since been on the hunt for other ones but nothing has really topped this one. I like how the music isn't overpowering and instead, allows the viewer to determine their own mood and feel for the moment.

I can imagine it... You're a young, new worker at the café you always came to when you were sad a few years ago. You just came to the café for your first day of job. You were working casually until it started raining. You loved the rain, so you came to a window and watched the rain, all these pretty lights and chilled, until your supervisor said that you need to hurry up. Your job became much easier to you in the rain. Everytime when it rained, you looked out of the window. It reminded you of your childhood memories, your old friends, all the happy memories came back when you listened to the rain and looked at the lamps in the wind.
