I’m just going to go ahead and be real with y’all... In trying to remove that red out my hair, it got pretty damaged. I knew the gamble I was taking by processing my hair again but I really couldn’t stand that red hair on me. I’m currently trying to protein treat it back to life so y’all just wish me luck! I’ll be posting a video next week to show the damage.🥴

Daye La Soul I know I keep putting this in your comment section, but I use it as a protein treatment every 6-8wks is the rice water rinse. I color my hair and every time put color in my hair I use the rice water to keep my hair healthy. It stops shedding, it makes my curls look healthy and it grows my hair. I ferment it for about a day and a half almost two days so it doesn’t smell. I drain the water off the rice and spray it my hair, leaving it for a half hour to an hour then I rinse it and follow it up with a moisturizing conditioner that I leave on about 3-5 minutes, rinse and style my hair as usual. I used to use Aphogee which I still like, but I switched to rice water because of the growth I’ve experienced from using it. I just use a cheap bag of white rice from the Dollar store nothing fancy. I’ve tried a few natural homemade products, but the only one I found truly did what it said it would was rice water and I keep using it.

+jbutterfly15 Rice water has protein in it but is not a protein treatment. Seems to work for a lot of people but I’m not a DIY person so I’ll pass on it, I don’t have the time or patience. If it’s some how formulated into something I can buy and apply, I’ll give it a chance.

Thank you! And yes! Spring is about here so it’s about to be rainy and storming! I used it 3 days this week because it’s been pouring and flash flooding. Got a few “wtf stares” and a lot of ppl asking where they can get one🤣
