You're such an inspiration to me, and I would think this whole youtube community we have! You emit such fuildy grace with a limited arsenal and lithium ions. You add to peoples lives, and you've definitely add to mine! I share Generate with every deserving person, contact mics with samplers, ipad apps to producers that have no idea about iOS music. Almost every example when I share is from your channel and collections of amazing works! What you do is special, and i just want to reiterate that you got fans out there! Brilliant in its minimal approach. The Ambience of the Eos 2 really shines. Fugue Machine is such a great app for this kind of thing. I also really like the way you keep the almost chaos in check by adjusting levels on the Korg.

This is just too good. So many aspects are wonderful. From the rhythm to the crispness of the tones to the high reverberations that suddenly are left to hang. All beautifully placed on video that gives people an appreciation for the things that nature has to offer, at different paces and different color tones. Saw this on the discchord mobile music site. Now I have to subscribe. Your work has been consistently too lovely to let slip by.

HELLO, I found you by chance on the tube and I must say that there are very few artists that amaze me .... I am quite old and I have seen many things and heard a lot; I've always been for progressive, but you can really amaze me and catalyze me. I also like to make strange sounds with my equipment you are really an inspiration and not enough, you can make videos that make you dream and relax and trust this helps a lot. it is obvious that I congratulate you, I would love to do something like that without copying you but I always work and time is a traitor and the day ends too quickly ...... I should put your music on the ipod, I have to find out how to do .... I wish you much happiness, never stop your creativity; with esteem and admiration, Massimo

that means the world to me, Massimo. Thank you so much for your kind words! Regarding having too little time and work i feel with you. It's the same for me, and it gets harder and harder over the years. This is amazing!!! Love it! Is the nanoKONTROL used to control the 4 playheads of Fugue Machine? Play/Stop/volume? Thanks!
@PerplexOn6 жыл бұрын
Jeff Abraham Hi, thanks a lot, glad you like it! The nanoKontrol is controlling the volume of the different instruments (mapped to AUM running in the background) as well as synth parameters of iSem. Since fugue machine doesn't support midi everything had to be triggered by hand there :)
@lydiakrifka-dobes37105 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the video! I'm a seventeen year old film scorer from Berlin. I'm currently planing my Pacific Crest Trail hike. And instead of taking hundreds of photos I'm going to try and focus on sound - because I just feel it is so underrated. We don't want to just be reminded of the places we went, but actually get to go back there. And with sounds, whenever you feel like it you can put on your headphones and disappear. I want to record sounds I encounter on trail and add musical elements/ responses on top using a basic synth/ midi controller. Unfortunately I can't bring my Mac because that's WAY too heavy. Any tips on portable working setups. I have an iPad that I would like to use. Like I said, I want to record sounds (I'm looking into different tascam models) + process and edit them on an iPad Pro app (any suggestions?) and then bring along a very lightweight midi controller or synth to layer brief musical responses (for now, i'm thinking a seaboard - any other suggestions). Could such a setup work? I want a lot of artistic freedom without carrying something too heavy...
@StefanoMattia5 жыл бұрын
It’s a bit of a pity that fugue machine’s transpose can’t be controlled via midi. Maybe by building up a few transposed patterns and alternating between them via midi program change? Beautiful composition and awesome sounds!
@myceliumtechno5 жыл бұрын
Studying all your work. So inspiring. Can you elaborate a little on your post processing? All your tracks have a consistent audio production quality. Does that mean you have one way of post processing or is it different every time? Thanks a lot!
@PerplexOn5 жыл бұрын
It's different every time ;) Sometimes i export the recorded tracks from the iPad and postprocess them in Ableton Live with a bunch of plugins, sometimes i do it straight on the iPad. In this case it was a bit i different because i took the midi notes coming from Fugue Machine and replaced the piano sound with a better sounding one in post (Una Corda) and then i did the mastering also in my desktop DAW. When i'm using the desktop DAW i usually do the mastering with Ozone, when i'm on the iPad i usually take Grand Finale for quick and dirty results :)
@LesterBrunt19836 жыл бұрын
If you could map midi to the transpose and the scale select function this would be a perfect live performance app. .
@PerplexOn6 жыл бұрын
so true! At least you can work around it in the meantime with additional apps like Rozeta Suite to transpose the midi in realtime. But yeah, midi implementation in fugue would be awesome!
@bladuck17 жыл бұрын
Great as always .... any sound directly from fugue or all are from external apps such as isem
@PerplexOn7 жыл бұрын
bladuck1 thank you very much! In this case fugue is "just" sequencing everything else (piano and isem). :)
@arjuna2075 жыл бұрын
Minute 1:57, how do you do the bend? :-D
@PerplexOn5 жыл бұрын
To be honest i can’t remember 😄 Maybe the osc pitch of iSEM was mapped to one knob of the connected nanoKontrol. Or pure accident, i‘m not sure 😉
@reggietelly7 жыл бұрын
Very inspiring. How do you record midi from fugue into beat maker ?
@PerplexOn7 жыл бұрын
Thanks a lot! You have to add an empty keyboard track in beatmaker and make sure "Fugue Machine Midi Out" is activated in the global midi settings of BM, that's it!

Great stuff. How would I map the controls in Fugue Machine to my controller? Or do I need a seperate midi mapping app to do all that ? Thanks.
@PerplexOn7 жыл бұрын
ASJ hey, thanks for your question! Since there is no midi mapping possibility in fugue machine (yet), the controller isn't mapped at all. It's controlling track volumes in AUM and some synth parameters in iSEM, but everything regarding fugue machine was done on the screen. Regards!

Simone Lamagna thanks a lot for watching and for your question!
