Great vid guys. Here in Ireland we get that weather about 250 days of the year. We never leave home without wet gear and a front mudguard, (fender). 😂 I always envied the great riding weather you guys get over there.

The worst rainstorm that I ever rode into was in the early 1970s. That was on a trip from Cleveland, OH, to upper Michigan. My 1950 panhead chopper was down due to a busted left crankcase, so, I had to take an alternate bike -- a fully chopped 305 Honda with engine mods, a rigid tail section that I made, a 16-inch rear wheel/tire, and an 8-inch over fork. My riding partners were on a vintage Royal Enfield and a Kawasaki 500. None of us broke down, but the rain seemed like it never stopped. Despite the weather, it looks like you guys had a great time. That’s what make it worth it, travel with a bike, get rain in the way and spend 4 hours in the campfire drying hahahaha and do it with friends, I think it’s the best time you can have, it’s fun, exciting and damn goood. Looking forward for the 2 part

Thanks for sharing. Actually, this am as the wife went to work, I'm retired haha, Pt.2 popped up and hit play to enjoy my coffee and babysit our pup. Got into and then refill the coffee and said to myself, self, we need to go to Pt.1, and let me tell you, from all my trips, and I'm 69, ex 1%er and hundreds of road trips, this looks like the most fun and maybe the best crew of friends ever. And don't bang on the 1/2 white guy, some of us were made that way. Be safe Brothers.

Another great video! Bring a few plastic bags from grocery store and a few rubber bands. For your feet in the rain. Take of your shoe put on the bags over your socks, use the rubber band to hold up the bags. Put shoes back on. Rubber bands are optional. And I always trip with converse they dry super fast. And I try to bring rain gear on more than 4 day trips.

@22:09 .... that's what happens when you run pod filters.... put your airbox back on the bike and that will resolve the issue... all you're doin is sucking water into the carbs and killing your chance for ignition.... pull your plugs and spray some wd-40 or rubbing alcohol in the cylinders to help dry everything out.... once dry...then reassemble everything and fire it up

That 2022 Low Rider S should be plenty reliable and a good workhorse with that 117 ci motor. A wise choice by that man to ride support with you on a non iron head, and hopefully something that doesn't need working on, while on this trip. Guys love a challenge, love an Adventure. You'll be able to talk about this ride / camping adventure around smoky campfires, again, in the future, reliving it. Life Is Good! The Weekend of Hurricane Hilda in California, all the way up the coast to WA, ID and MT from Baja, CA Everywhere got a good soaking out of that one on the West Coast. Absolutely love the sound tracks with the blues on this adventure.... you guys deserve to sing the blues on a rained out day like this.

Rains in Louisiana too. Rode through a storm the other day. Bread sacks or gallon storage bags keep fresh socks dry the next day. Wish I was there.

Very nice video. Thankyou. A trick i learned as a young lad in the army for drying boots is put on dry socks and then keep changing them as they get wet.....easier to dry socks by the fire than to dry shoes and boots. Safe travels

For two bundles use the figure 8 but remember to leave the other end of the bunjee sticking out so you can connect the other end to it, if the ends are too wide close then with pliers this will assure it won't unhook itself for rope make a loop at one end , use the same method as with bunjee the loop will be used to tie off the rope.

Long have we awaited this trip video🔥.. I just remembered when I was soaking wet riding from another town to another town in heavy rain, I would took 1 hour additional ride around town just to dry myself up.. but sometimes the rain doesnt stop too and when its too cold, its better to warm up so you dont get hypothermia..

Rain riding tip, use plastic shopping bags over your boots, secure the tops. Dry tops.

You know if you place a couple of hand size rocks in the fire it can be used to dry wet clothing even the inside of the shoes but not to be used on rubber.

I'm so used to watching you guys on your trips and being jealous of the weather. I live in the North of Scotland and rain is kind of what we get! Your trip seemed very Scottish. Another thing - some of your 'bobbers' seem to only have a rear brake. What on earth is that like in the wet? Thanks for sharing. I'd say your pretty heroic keeping on going and no wet weather gear. I don't mind riding in the rain (unless it's just dumping), but man, the river that ends up in your boots is the worst! I hate that feeling more than anything. Memories though, that's what it's about.
