And now I need to go get some Catalpa moxi and pulsar.... rumor has it there is a fluke coming too according to their website. Have you guys used them yet? I cant find it in FF stores that carry the moxi and paddle tails.

The Authent-X Rib-Finn flukes are awesome! We slammed 'em on the Mississippi last week testing out the new fluke. Giant pike, big smallies, and big walleyes. We caught 7 species on them in the same day. Catalpa/Chartreuse Pulse-R paddletails are awesome too. Canadian side of River

When talking about the current breaks on the rainy river you should clarify that you need to beware the border for the US and Canada is the center of the river and that Minnesota anglers are only allowed to fish the breaks on the south side of the river. If caught by the Canadian side you can have your rods, tackle, and boat confiscated as well as be charged with unlawful entry into Canada. Be a smart PSA to include on these episodes.

A lot of US guys buy the ON license and have remote area border crossing RABC permits for crossing. If you're not touching down on the other shore you may not need to call in with your RABC. I'm not sure. I need to check on that. Just have to have your ducks in a row. No alcohol in the boat. Anyone legal to have a gun can carry on MN waters but pistols are not legal in ON, so fair warning. No minnows unless you buy in Canada and have receipt. At least I think that's how it used to go. Nearly everyone is fishing plastics though. If you're going to keep a couple males, I think the ON side is 18.1 inches not 19.5" like MN. So don't have any over 18.1 inches north of the middle. And if you talk to a lot of guys, you're missing the boat if you're not fishing slow water and sand on the north shore on sunny days. I stay on the MN side and do fine. Great video.

i know if you cross on the lake you need to report both ways. Umm I'm from here and can tell you mot people are fishing rainbow chubs or shiners. very few are actually using plastics. but you can not bring live bait across with exceptions of night crawlers in paper mulch. you can bring dead shiners and other minnows across as long as they are salted, frozen, or in sawdust.

Must be nice! I have to travel 5 hours to use my land by the river and see the family. Good luck with the Sturgeon. I'm thinking about coming up in May to do that. Stay at the shack or maybe Ballards...
