I'm gonna be honest, didn't know this song existed. I watched Your Lie in April, loved it, the feelings of emptiness, sadness, and hopelessness I got after watching it stayed with me for weeks, but I guess I didn't stick til the end to hear this song. tldr, I had a... relationship (?) with this girl in my sophomore year, who I still keep in touch with, and my best memories from high school have something to do with her. I think it was the time in my life that I've been the happiest, ever. But we grew apart for one reason or another, and I couldn't move on from it for a couple of months until I couldn't bear it and told her that I still had feelings. I don't know what I was hoping for. I didn't really think we could get together or anything like that, but deep down I think I was in denial about it ending and I think I was more involved in the idea of keeping this relationship than in whether or not it's good for her or for me and in what kind of a future we want. And so I told her and got on with my life and she got on with hers. After a while we started talking again I guess but just as any old regular friends do and we are kinda close. Even though we had moved on with our relationship, the memories are still there, and this song did a damn good job of resurfacing them. I am kinda amazed at how accurately lyrics applied to my situation. Anyway, wasn't expecting how good this was gonna be, but I'm glad I clicked on this vid :)
