One of my favourite hyms. It makes it more special knowing that the cellist is the mother of the new ordained Priest and who is celebrating his first Mass.

I got to accompany it a time or two for Benediction for the Eucharistic Crusade at a parish in New Zealand - all those children singing it with all their hearts made me cry! So sweet and lovely.

Fr. Frederick William Faber (1814-1863) an Anglican clergyman converted to the Roman Catholic Church as a priest in 1846 and established the order of priests known as Priests of the Congregation of St. Philip Neri in London in 1849. Father Faber wrote this beautiful and timeless hymn, "Jesus my Lord, my God, my All", beautifully and reverently performed here with a concluding descant.

Fr. Fredrick William Faber did a fantastic job writing this lovely hymn, another of his hymns that I favor is "Hail Bright Archangel, Prince of Heaven" that appeared in the St. Basil's Hymnal in the early 1900's.

The hymn tune name is "SWEET SACRAMENT" from the Cologne Gesangbuch of 1852 and likely harmonized by Fr. J. Alfred Schehl. This old traditional Roman Catholic hymn text was written by Fr. Frederick William Faber (1814-1863) a convert from Anglicanism to Roman Catholicism in 1845, and founder of an order of Catholic priests in England known as the "Priests of St. Philip Neri". Among many hymns which he also wrote are "Faith of Our Fathers", "Jesus, Gentlest Savior", and "Jesus my Lord, my God, my all".

Michael David Unfortunately I don’t have access to the sheet music at this time. You could probably find this piece with a choral arrangement online. Then we just had the cello play the solo in the beginning and a harmonic line later.

My church is an ecumenical congregation. Each time we use this tune, undescribable yearning fills my heart and I could never control tears filling my eyes. Last Sunday, I was more convinced of Christ's presence in this hymn. The family man beside me was in tears. I could hear the sniffles come through the mics. The holy Spirit bathed us in a refreshing way. We just lost our Church Minister, a Venerable in the Anglican church. He was passionate about our second home coming. He was so full of good works in the vineyard, wining souls. I am singing this hymn now, beseechingly, for Grace, Mercy and His guidance to be a fruitful worker in Jehovah vineyard. Oh, that I will know the dept of His wonderful love for me, I humbly pray!
