Yes, you are absolutely right, E# is similar to the sound F, but according to the rules of alteration in a given key, it would be correct to write exactly E#. Moreover, in the key C# there are 7# and E# including. Thanks for the good question 👍

Nice... but the song, as you're playing it, should preferably be considered in the key of Db (5 flats), not C# (7 Sharps, using C as a B# and F as an E#!). If you want to consider it in C#, okay, whatever... but songs are rarely written in keys with more than 5 sharps or flats, and as an aspiring teacher, you need a little more theory, so you don't lead learning beginners astray :/
