You can buy cute garden tags (I have little white ones that go in the soil, but I've seen copper ones, black ones, pink ones etc) online and then buy a garden marker. They're made not to come off in the weather so you'll have cute (or just discrete) markers for your plants. The packs of white waterproof tags come in big packs and I've had some in the ground for 3-4 years with garden marker and they're still readable.
