17:14 what you'll think of Niklas play here? Was this standard or would lead jamming have been a better option? (Assuming they don't know Ben has AJ obv)
@janpiet9921
@janpiet9921 Жыл бұрын
The problem is what are you representing value wise. 44 and 66 are probably just a jam preflop considering you have 7.5 BB. And if you have a weak queen you want to induce bets from your opponent with the exact type of hand ben has in this case I think. I guess you could do it with pairs of 6s and 4s but even then you can probably just get called by like A10 with a heart, if your range is only middle/bottom pair or a flush draw. I think it could be a great exploitative play in stakes where people just fold when they dont have a pair or flush draw on this board but I don't see the merit vs players of this level. Then again I'm certainly not a great poker player myself so I might be wrong

Can someone please explain at 8:40 why is it insane to call the QJo ip with bounty on the line and some dead money? I mean yes you are dominated a bunch from the sb isolation but still it is not worth?

@@RaiseYourEdge So mindset is why I’m a consistent loser??? Sounds a bit silly. Studying the game is just a waste of time so if my mindset is why I lose. Based off this logic pure luck is needed to be good too. Like very easy for someone who is a pro and won all these years to just lazily say ‘bad mindset’ when your simply a lucky person too

@@marco_9325 On the long run luck means nothing, because the more you play the more balanced your cards will be. If you have 60% chance of winning you might lose 3 times in a row, but on the long run you will win more than you lose. It's a mathematical necessity that sooner or later your actual winning rate will be your initial mathematical chance. What makes a difference is how you decide. When you go all-in when you shouldn't and when you fold when you shouldn't your luck doesn't matter that much anyway. But maybe poker isn't your game. If you lose lot of money you probably should stop. Most people aren't winners and both professional poker players and poker sites get their money from them.

24:21 is not beter open jam? usually i do it this spots when i know will have a lot rjams like this maybe we loose chips but in ICM should be beter no?
@janpiet9921
@janpiet9921 Жыл бұрын
It's a huge win if you induce them to shove with worse aces. Sure you can lose sometimes, but you have like 80% against those and if you win it you have much better chances to play for the huge bounty of the short stack and even the tournament win. And even if they have a hand like 86s which you would probably rather have them fold considering ICM, it's not THAT bad to get it all in vs that since again, if you win it you have good chances to make significantly more money now.
