I buy holiday themed plates on clearance at our salvage store. We use them for camping, picnics or when the power goes out. Nothing like eating from a Santa plate in July, lol!😅

I enjoy your videos so much Bonita. I do think like you, but you're much better at actually carrying it out than I am. I've been laughed at for saving "pennies" but to me, it's all part of a bigger picture. If we use these same concepts in all areas of our lives, it really does add up and it gives me a sense of being in control of my life.

When I saw your sheet of stickers it reminded me of how generous my mother-in-law has been with giving me Christmas cards to send out to people. And she's also giving me sheets of just stickers Christmas stickers that I can use to seal the envelopes. Love those stickers❤

I remember muffins from when I grew up in the 70s. They were hearty and so many wonderful bran muffins. Nowadays, muffins are just cake and I just don't enjoy them... In NYC, I can still find raisin bran muffins (my favorite). Thank you for highlighting them. I plan on making them.

All those small things that save time and money contribute to what I consider efficient "household management." Now that I have time, I use my energy to better serve those needs, and I enjoy doing it! It's a means to be creative. For example, I am gifting home-canned foods this year. To "wrap" them, I use both a small- and large-mouth flat canning lid as a template to cut circles out of old greeting/birthday/Christmas cards and then insert one between the flat and ring for giving. It costs nothing, but I think it's a pretty way to dress up a canning jar. You can write a to/from on the circle or attach a tag. Thank you, Bonita! 😊

For Thanksgiving and Christmas I always buy holiday themed paper plates both dinner size and desert size as well as the matching napkins for our dinner and I buy them from ollie's. And what I will do is I will continue to use those paper plates from that holiday through the weekend. Once Monday morning comes and there are any left over paper plates etc..they get put away for the next year so that I can pull them back out again and oftentimes I have plenty that I could go through another holiday and not have to purchase those again. I do the same with paper plates for cookouts and things like that I buy them from ollie's. They could be graduation theme they could be Halloween themed they really could be anything or even completely plain and they work good enough to hold a hamburger and a hot dog and some potato salad❤

Thats exactly how I convinced my husband to hop on the thrifty wagon; by doing the math for him; The amount per week I save by shopping at Aldi and buying generic from other stores; and i.e. saving 10 cents per gallon of gas using a coupon or a rebate app: 10 cents x 10 gallons of gas x 2 cars x 4 times per month x 12 months; PLUS the $5 I might save per week using coupons and the $3 I might get back on a rebate app per week, plus the quarter and 2 pennies that I found on the ground and took the effort to pick up. It all adds up. He is totally onboard now! lol

A few times a week, my walking group goes by McDonald's and we do go in and buy a coffee (an indulgence that I budget for!) My point is that they always give me 3 or 4 napkins with my coffee which of course I take home and use. My son teases me about my "personalized" napkins. I told him the big "M" on them stands for "Mom".

A gift for someone who likes to take a bath, is bath salts. Pour the epsom salts in a large bowl and add a few drops of food coloring to it as well as a couple of drops of essential oil, like lavender. Stir it all up and pour into glass jars. Screw on the lid and tie a ribbon around the lid.

Back at Thanksgiving time our daughter surprised us with some sparkling fruit juice drinks that she had gotten from Aldi three different flavors and somebody said hey Mommy do you have any paper cups so I went down in the basement to where my pantry is and sure enough I had some paper cups down there in a bag that had like purple flowers on them so they weren't in any way Thanksgiving themed and you know what nobody could care less. They just wanted a cup to drink some sparkling fruit juice out of.

I've used the pattern layered napkins to decorate boxes, using parchment paper, cling wrap, napkins and an iron. There are videos on KZbin how to create cards using this method but you can use it to decorate boxes. I also keep the white layers for napkins. Merry Christmas from Canada.
