It's "Texas toast" which is essentially bread that's buttered and fried on a griddle or pan. If it's decent quality bread, it tastes a lot better than it would coming out of a toaster. Add the sauce and it's probably pretty good. I've never had Cane's but I do love Texas toast.

I live in NC we have so many chicken spots and I've never had Canes. I need to try it. In HS I worked at a KFC and it was great, had one of the last standing KFC buffets in the country and we were top notch rated at our location. I'm a Bojangles gal... and hate to admit but we have Popeyes here too and I may have tried it once at a cookout style pot luck but I can't remember it. I also like Chil FIL A but my fam hates it so I don't get it more than once every few years.

as a cane's employee, i understand your guy's frustration on the sizing of tenders sometimes. They're suppose to give the biggest one's, as we call them "daggers" because they are straight and long, not like the ones that come out as little shrimps or nuggets. Workers get too lazy and when times need to be accurate, even managers will just give off a full order with shrimps, honestly is just luck everytime you order and just hope you get the freshest batch of fries, tenders, and toast.
