I'm the type of person that likes to let your videos marinate. I don't watch for months and then I go on a big binge and watch what I missed. I love catching up with what you guys are up to. Also, even though I'm not religious I really agree that anchoring yourself in a good community is key. Especially in a foreign country, if you don't have that sense of community it can get lonely feeling like an outsider.

It’s great that everyone is trying new things, and seeing your family’s smiles gives me energy.Please enjoy spending a fantastic time with your family.I’ll keep working on my English skills.Thank you for always your support!I always enjoy your posts.
I am so glad you are finding success. I worked in Tokyo for over 20 years with foreign children (16-21), helping them overcome issues of living and going to school in Japan. The struggles and heartaches were unbelievable and usually completely unknown to parents. But there are the success stories out there. I hope there are many more.

The kindness and love you both pour into your parenting is truly wonderful! It warmed my heart to see how much you cherish the moments filled with smiles as a family. I’m sure your children, raised by such amazing parents, will grow up to be compassionate and loving individuals. Wishing your family all the best! ✨

Some sage advice, and one I'm still learning: "Believe the best about my spouse’s intentions."
I purchased beautiful boxed cookies as gifts for family here in Canada. The Japanese bakery shop at Kamata station wrapped them so beautifully with a ribbon and everything. I need to go back to Japan and see all the things I missed. Sarah that is very impressive!

My favorite video to date from your channel. Thank you for the gentle reminders of what to be grateful for and what to prioritize. We also have 4 kids (18, 14, 14 and 12), which include a set of twins. I have definitely put the kids ahead of my marriage and need to rethink my priorities.

It's great to hear that our videos are helpful. Believe me, this is as much a reminder to me as it is to others!
This was an amazing video with so many thruths! I agree prioritizing your marriage is so important! It is important that you make time for each other because you are the core of the family, the foundation and you need a strong foundation to raise a family. Family time is also important to keep the family unit strong. We love playing board games together and that is how we make time for each other in this busy world. Good luck on your book and I am really excited about it! Again a wonderful video. oh oh Sarah has really become amazing at crocheting, the projects she takes on now are amazing and Anna is really excelling in art, wonderful work. You guys are amazing! Since it is so close to Christmas I want to wish you all a very merry and blessed Christmas. Much love to you guys

I would be curious what their history curriculum in school is like. In America, you primarily learn Western and American history and government. Spent so much time on the US constitution in 8th grade. We don't learn much about Asian or African history unless maybe you have an elective class in it.
@LIJ9 күн бұрын
History, culture classes, language is all so different here. We've started supplementing a US Christian education as well, so the two together should give quite a broad scope of education!

I think so amazing you are able to raise your children in another country. They will able to speak another language and be great for job hunting in the future.
So many young people in Asia don't want children for many reasons. There is a declining birth rate sadly. Same in the US. I want a family someday. I grew up in a lovely family and I see how my brother and his wife is raising their own. I went to church almost every Sunday growing up.
