What kinds of responsibilities do your kids like the most or grow from the most?

Homesteading/self sufficiency is so rewarding! I didn’t start until late in my life but what has been most rewarding to me is watching my grandchildren grow in this life. You have a beautiful place and family! It is heartwarming to me to see you growing your family in the homestead lifestyle. God Bless 💕

Lady you are teaching your kids much more than how to feed a pig or chicken, you are teaching them about life. Your kids are lucky to be raised on a homestead. Good luck on your adventure..thanks for the videos, God Bless

Great video! Got my 2 yr old to watch this with me instead a paw patrol video and she loved it. We are a family of 8 getting started on our homesteading journey. It would take too many words to explain the crazy adventure we've been on and where we've landed, but I'm working on a vlog episode that catches everyone up on our story. This video was a huge inspiration! Thanks.

How much does it cost to run your family farm? I’m curious what the maintenance cost of this is and if you have any profit from the foods your produce?
@HappyBurrowHomestead2 жыл бұрын
We have only been here a little over a year and we are still gathering some of that information. We still maintain jobs outside of the homestead for now. The biggest upfront costs have been infrastructure (chicken coops, fencing, etc). We have only producing food for our own family so far but we are hoping to do more outside of that soon! We hope to be full time homesteaders one day!

How did you guys do house chores outside when your kids were little
@HappyBurrowHomestead2 жыл бұрын
We usually try to include them as much as we can but for things like mowing, I just make sure that I can see them and they play outside. Or I do it when they are napping. Also, I have found that a wagon was one of the greatest purchases for outside work with kids! They can use it to pull each other around, gather sticks or leaves, the possibilities are endless for them!

@@HappyBurrowHomestead my kids are pretty little I have a four-year-old a two-year-old and a seven-month-old . So things are pretty challenging
@HappyBurrowHomestead2 жыл бұрын
@@tinabraam7776 those can be challenging ages! It wasn’t long ago that we were in the same boat! I used to bring out a bouncer or blanket for the babe to sit in, or something like that while I did some chores. But I worked mostly either before they woke up or while they napped. Baby wearing is also an option!
@tinabraam77762 жыл бұрын
@@HappyBurrowHomestead Those are actually excellent ideas is to bring out the bouncer 😃
