In this video we raise the timber frame lean to I had been cutting the joints for over the previous few weeks.
I had to remove a scene from the original video, hence the reason for the re-upload. Enjoy!

this is so cool. as a machinist that knows how painfully little designers care about manufacturing, seeing all the planning going into the design of each part to make construction go so smoothly is awesom.

As an engineering (in training) it’d do us some good to more often consider our machinists. A thoughtfully designed product is both better and less of a headache to make. I only know some basic drafting and machine operations and the things our master machinists that run the shop know and can do add amazing.

Unusual roof arrangement with the slope finishing onto a flat section of timber - it'll be interesting to see the final article once the roofing sheets are in place.

Just come across your channel. Awesome stuff. I'm an Ironworker by trade and smith by hobby. Been considering building my own shop in the back yard as I've been working outside for some time now. This gave me a good insight into the actual assembly process, thank you for sharing. Cheers from the Great Lakes!

Love it, the timber framing looks good, was definitely a malty number person task and thank goodness for the lady of the house not only did she make the tea but God lover, she is out there amongst all you boys getting it done, kudos to you Mom. Your project is coming along famously, hope the rest of the build is as successful. You be careful handling all your big wood, hope your not giving anyone splinters. Lots of love. Afriend.

On wet timber that we drill thru we scrape soap bars on it to help it slide thru? Also is Misty a greyhound or a whippet? Did you have to add supports to old part of the house as I'm guessing it may not support the weight of those large beams? Thank you I'm enjoying see you do that (and not me!)
