Your insights on brooding chicks outside during the winter are really helpful. Have you considered any specific adjustments to the brooder setup based on how the temperature fluctuates in your area?

Well, we will be adding plastic to the shed so there isn't a breeze next to it. I think as far as other changes we will just have to see how this winter is and how the chicks do. The nice thing is I can adjust as needed quickly and always move them back inside if needed. I've noticed brooding in larger groups really has helped because they create group heat as well. I'll definitely post more updates on how the chicks do outdoors and what the threshold temps seem to be.

I'm in Provo. And I actually don't sell hatching eggs just chicks and adults. if you're looking for hatching eggs my friends over at guidrozfamilyfarm.com are my go-to and where I get all my eggs from.
