@@NoFixedAddress Thanks for the winch info - I was actually interested in the portable winch mount you used. It would save us having to permanently mount a steel beam onto rock or pour concrete- thanks again.

Actually, compared to removing a standard dock where each section has to be moved out if the water and places in shore, it’s hardly any work at all. D&J

Very dangerous how you stood in the “bight of the coil”....I am an old salt and saw a Able Seaman get hurt with a steel cable on the HMCS Gatineau in the late 70’s. Not a pleasant sight.
