I have this truck in grey. I absolutely love it! And it does reach 30mpg highway and even more if you don't have a lead foot. I'm getting about 600 miles to the tank, which is only 22 gallons.

Fun fact, the areodynamics of the controversially styled Silverado really shine with the Duramax because the GMC team actively chose design over fuel economy, considering the very notable increase in fuel economy from Chevy, despite the two trucks rolling off the same line. People forget just how much the actual vehicle the engine is tied to also contributes to fuel economy. Great example is how the 6.2 with old AFM gets 27 mpg highway in the Camaro but the new one with DFM in the Silverado gets 20.

Though I'm not sure about the Diesel, up here in the cold country of Michigan... It's an iconic GMC truck, it has the Denali trim, 4WD, and it's in Black and Chrome! "SOLD"!! Zonk, for the dated interior, so I'd most likely wait for the 2021! However, once again from GM(C), a great truck for the money! Thanks for sharing this one, Joe! 🏁🏁

I so want a Sierra. I actually went Sunday to the GMC dealership here in Columbus Georgia. I looked at a Sierra 1500 SLT with the X31 off road package in Red. Its a pretty darn good looking truck. It had the 5.3 litter V8. Oh how I want it.

Great looking truck. The interior needs an important upgrade as ford has shown with the new F-150, they are determined to keep their moneymaker at #1. I need GM to really get together on their interior choices. From Cadillac to Chevrolet they all need intense makeovers. When Kia is making interiors better than your 64K priced vehicles, you are on the toilet rim circling last nights Taco Bell....

I like how you used "Witch" instead of "which". It kind of goes with the "ghost" moniker. Seriously though, I think that I like the all black wheels on the LT Trail Boss, but the AT4 can have ventilated seats (important here in southern Georgia), surround vision cameras, heads up display and slightly larger wheels/tires. Yes there is a $6500 difference in the MSRP, but when you're putting out this much money, get what you want or maybe regret what you got.

I would buy a Ram 1500 longhorn over a Sierra Denali. For me, the Ram look better outside/inside and the interior feel more refined and sumptuous than the Denali for that price. For me, the Sierra Denali has the syndrome of looking too "chromy" on the outside, and when you step inside look to "dark, boring and outdated"! Ford and Ram’s luxury trucks and even the Platinum Reserve Nissan Titan are both (especially the Ram) designed with better taste than the Denali. This truck is only from 2019 and it’s already look dated, the Ram in comparison is also from 2019 and unlike his rival he looks as good as new! Even the previous Ram generation still look great even today! That’s my opinion.

Pretty dang innovative truck and diesel is macho and built for work. Too much chrome. ..Just wonder how reliable it all is. Is it made in Mexico? Might be a good idea to add to your routine to mention where they're assembled, Mexico isn't good. You want to see u.s or canada. Coulda used a startup review just with window rolled down if nothing else unless there is nothing noteworthy about its startup lol.

If you get the standard size bed (79.44") you can put the tailgate down, load 4x8 sheets of plywood/drywall and use the step on the gate to insure not losing the load. I do agree with you that a 3/4+ ton pick up with an eight foot bed is a proper work truck and skip the fancy trim.

I saw a salesman attempting to demonstrate the "Origami Tailgate" to a potential customer while I was stopped at a traffic light. I just shook my head and said to myself, "What was GMC thinking?" EDIT: That's not to say that I wouldn't buy a GMC Sierra Denali *without* the Origami Tailgate. They are beautiful trucks, indeed, but the interior/dashboard is outdated... still.
