The Traverse isn't flashy but it is handsome, competent, and spacious. I think it's priced a little too high right now, though. At mid to high level trims the Telluride is thousands less. The Traverse is priced more like a Pilot or Highlander, and frankly GM's quality and resale value doesn't support that. A few years ago the MSRP didn't really matter because domestics never sold for full price, but it's a different story today.

Hey Joe. Been watching your videos for years. Given as long as you've been doing this, I'm guessing you've put a lot of thought into what characteristics you cover in your reviews. There are a few things I'm interested in that you never seem to mention. Maybe no one else cares about these things. 1) does it have an electronic parking brake and is it conveniently located? 2) does it have a brake hold button and is it conveniently located? 3) does it have an auto start/stop kill button and is it conveniently located? 4) if it has adaptive cruise control, does it also have low-speed follow? 5) if it has proximity key, does it have automatic walk away lock feature? 6) does it have automatic headlights? 7) does it have a capless fuel tank? 8) does it have a locking fuel door?

I have 2012 Enclave which really mechanically is little different from the 2023 and the Traverse. Yes, 10 years and five kids means button labels are peeled off, plastic trim bits cracked, etc. However the leather has not a tear or bruise, and the engine still idles quietly at 155K miles. The only thing I'd do different is get the tow package with the trans oil cooler. Even though I don't tow, 7 people and their luggage on road trips in Florida, we'd climb a grade at 75 mph and the trans cooler temp warning would flash. At 65 mph it was fine. Other than that, its been a tank and I do not believe any Kia would make it 10 years and 150K without at least two engine out replacements.

@johnfreeman4402 жыл бұрын
100% agreed. See my other comment. Seems the designers responsible for the interior are only interested in selling to current Chevy owners, hoping they don't realize how outdated it really is. I also chose an AWD Palisade over this. Apart from the slight differences in acceleration and some cargo room differences, the Palisade is superior in every way. Mostly the driving dynamics. Chevy is an immediate, almost twitchy steering and throttle response compared to the more relaxed, almost sport-luxury feel of the Palisade. A little less immediate acceleration unless needed and the steering/suspension is tuned with less understeer. Ride and interior noise superior and interior design not even in the same decade.

@@daebruh2034 many factors. 1. The 21 RS, I had leased with nothing down and with the crazy car market was able to trade it in 8 months later and get $4900 more then the lease buyout. (My lease payments were only $430 a month, so I got to drive it for free and make around $1500) 2. I was able to get my new Tahoe for $5,500 under MSRP. (so technically I’m up again with this car market) 3. We also wanted to get a full size suv, so we can tow a larger travel trailer.

we had the 2020 premier and actually traded in for a 2022 pathfinder...chevy did an update on the infotainment or something back in dec 2021 and every since our wifi would sometimes work or not. 5x in the shop and onstar or chevy couldn't fix....

Just curious, can you get these with the 2nd row bench seat, or do they only come in captains chairs?
@damianviegas72515 ай бұрын
You can get bench seats on other trims of the Traverse but not on the RS trim

Thought I was sold on the traverse because I think the exterior looks better than the telluride, and it's slightly larger...but man. After test driving in person, inside it feels like you're in such a dated car. The cameras look like it's from a flip phone. And with the price tag, just couldn't stomach it. 2023 telluride dominates in every category, minus the slightly less cargo space.

I have had my eye on the traverse for how they look on the outside, but can’t commit to buying for the same reason! The traverse interior dash just doesn’t look completely up to date. Very disappointing.

That 3.5L V6 is a great engine. I’m glad they stuck with it.

I can do without the sun roof. I like having them, but never really use them. With that said though, RS should definitely have ventilated seats. A bench 2nd row should also be a option on upper trims. And the chrome by the front headlights definitely looks out of place on this trim. The dark chrome would look so much better.

Did you need to scrunch to see the traffic lights? My brother is taller and that is his problem with cars. He has to scrunch forward to be able to see the traffic lights if he is the first one in line.

They should have had the digital instrumentation at least on the RS vs starting at Premier.
@waynewilliams1487 Жыл бұрын
I chose the sorento SXP xline because it’s faster with a higher torque turbo and it’s cheaper to get the equivalent traverse to SXP you need the premier which is more than sorento for a panoramic moonroof & cooled seats

I just brought a 2022 Traverse LT. To me, it is better than the Ford Explorer because it has more room in the third row seat and cargo storage area. I love the look of it too

Love this car so much. Really fun to drive, spacious, practical, and suspension is great and very comfortable. But and always but. It is 2018 technology and nothing new in it. No 360 cameras, no special button for it, a lot of plastics. It could be the best of the best among its competitors if Chevy introduce more refined design.

I like the telluride more but the mark up on them in the US is not worth it.
