Just got a used Sky with 69k miles, runs like a charm, just s beautiful car in and out. I have at least 2-3 people every week commenting on my car, first, they can't believe it's s GM Saturn, or they just don't know what it is, but they love it. I've even had a guy ask me if it was a Ferrari. I was lucky to pick this one up, the interior looks showroom as it was garaged it's whole life. I did have to replace the top convertible because the window detached from the fabric, so I opted to just get a new one rather than bank aid fix it.....this car will definitely be a collector someday !!!

I have a 2007 black redline with the 2 tone cream/black leather seats and taupe top. I picked it up around thanksgiving time has 32.000 miles on it. Showroom condition as well... garaged it's whole life .1 owner weekend car. I just finished installing the DDM race brace package on it and a K&N cold air intake, Real Burl wood Maple Dash Kit.... next is a Hi-flow Cat and a mach-shorty 3 in. stainless exhaust system then a Tune. I love it so far , cant wait to get it done and take it to autocross !!

You are correct! It is sad that they are both gone!
@boosted2.4_sky5 жыл бұрын
@steelmesh the Pontiac Solstice came out two years before the first Sky ever hit the streets...
@boosted2.4_sky5 жыл бұрын
@steelmesh My comment was in response to why the Pontiac Solstice outsold the Saturn Sky and Opel GT "significantly"... it is because Saturn Sky didn't come out until 2008 and the 1st Solstices we're rolling off the line in 2006... Plus by 2008 a significant number of people who are going to buy into the Kappa platform were already doing so... and then by 2009 Saturn/GM were already in the process of shutting down....👍
@justletmecomment64534 жыл бұрын
Other way around, the Opel GT was a rebadged Sky. The Kappa platform was developed in the US and all Kappa cars were built in Delaware. The cars used a really cool unibody with a central tub but then just framerails at the front and the back, and saved development money by using a CTS rear differential, Cobalt and Cobalt SS engines, a regeared and strengthened Colorado transmission, and some borrowed Cobalt suspension pieces.

Raiti's Rides They may be gone! But these bad boys are still out here. I have a Saturn Sky base model at 22 so they definitely caught the younger generation. Candy red... beautiful car. Planning on making it a 2020 Saturn Sky if you catch my DRIFT 😉😆 Gonna completely remodel the engine to a big boy V8 and so many more mods inside and out. It’s gonna look like it came out this year! I can’t wait to share. I’ll sub and hit that notification bell so I can keep up with ya and when I get my car mods I’ll be more than happy to share it with you and the world!!! WE NEED GM BACK!!

Wow first time i ever heard of Saturn. I just looked up and it shares the same chassis as the Opel GT and Pontiac Solstice. It def an interesting conversion. Because typically most of the Saturn Sky conversion are normally LS engine swaps. A 2JZ in a small car is def fresh and mind blowing. And will surprise a few guys at the stop light.
@RaitisRides6 жыл бұрын
Lin Chester I’m so glad I was able to bring you something new. This thing sounds so sick with that 2JZ!

Lin Chester If and when I blow my stock 2.0l I will probably go this route. They say it's an easier build than the LS. Will have to research it more when that time comes

Great video, that's very different. Never got any of those in Australia, I think the closest we got to that was the VXR Corsa but they were front wheel drive if I remember correctly. The 2JZ conversion is awesome, I'm surprised they managed to even fit it in there lol.
