RAJASTHAN Series EP #7: Osiyan to Deshnoke via Amritsar Jamnagar Expressway & Karni Mata Darshan 🛕
Hi Friends,
I present to you, the seventh vlog of the Rajasthan 2023 series. In this video, we resume our journey from Osiyan. In the early morning, I take a walk along the main road passing through Osiyan, and find myself some khullad chai, and recording some observations along the way.
Meanwhile, our Sethji Hitesh got ready, and we left towards Deshnoke, not before finishing breakfast at Osiyan, two rounds of it at that. Initially, we stopped near Osiyan bus stop to savour some kachori and chai, the kachori was slightly different from the one we had in the previous vlog at Rohat.
Sometime later, we satisfied our craving for Poha at another restaurant, where we even had Aloo Parathas and one more round of chai to go along with it. After this we left from Osiyan and drove for a while before joining the partially operational Amritsar Jamnagar Expressway, near Sirmandi village.
The expressway was a smooth drive through, although we struggled a bit without an operational Fastag (it got fixed later though). We literally flew on the Amritsar Jamnagar Expressway, stopping only once for some chai, a unique chai tapri (tea stall), established on top of sand.
After completing the chai break, and take some pics on a layby, we barrelled ahead till we reached the Deshnoke exit. Within some time after exiting the expressway, we reached Karni Mata temple town - Deshnoke, this temple is quite famously known as the "Temple of Rats", for the enormous number of rats in the temple premises. They're quite harmless, don't worry.
After finishing darshan, we came out, and went about searching for lunch, before heading out to meet a friend, and that's where the upcoming vlog will continue. Stay tuned.
