History - Supposed to be story of great Mauryan emperor Chandragupta Maurya. Nandini is fictional. His greek wife deodra was operated upon during pregnancy as she consumed poison by mistake which was given to chandra to make him immune. There was no anestesia in those times as we know. The child bindusara survived and she sadly passed away. Chandra left his kingdom , took up jainism ,observed penance on a hill(chandra giri) just 50 kms away from banglore and passed away when he was 40.

Based on Wikipedia and comments from India, I came to the conclusion that Nandini is Durdara, who died during childbirth. Bindusar's son survived but suffered from illnesses due to the poison. When he turned 21, Chandra gave him the power of kingship, and he himself went into asceticism and died 2 years later. For me, the main thing is that the great love of Chandra and Nandini (Durdara) in history was real, in contrast to the fictitious love of Akbar and Jotha.

@@ElenaVasilenko63 nothing much is known of chandras love life as he was groomed to be a ruler by his cunning teacher chanakya to be ruler and was fighting war. But it is he who used to add a bit of poision dose to chandras food to make him immune as he was always target of assasination. It seems chandra fed deodra from his plate without knowing this. Till here it is true. In this series deodra is a different character. Nandini is blamed for death etc! She is shown as daughter of his rival dhanananda.

To protect the emperor, the teacher added poison to Chandra's food, but Chandra himself did not know about this and shared the food with his pregnant wife. Something bad happened. Durdara (Nandini) died, but the child was saved.... Ekta Kapoor wrote a different script, but you must agree - it’s interesting. She painted with bright colors the love of Chandra and Nandini, although the events were fictitious, the love was real.

Мне тоже так показалось на первый взгляд, когда я смотрела эти сериалы. Но, это только на первый взгляд. У этих двух сериалов один и то же сценарист - Экта Капур. Трудно сказать, почему она так их написала. Может потому, что жизнь, в принципе, похожа у разных людей. Если смотреть глубже, то понятно, что одинаковы только ситуации, а в остальном повторений нет. Два императора - абсолютно разные характеры. Мое восхищение Раджатом Токасом: как талантливо он смог показать каждого из них, не смешивая образы. Я получила огромное удовольствие от просмотра обоих сериалов и от игры прекрасных и талантливых актеров. Ведь ради этого мы и смотрим индийские фильмы.
