Another interesting fact is that 1st November is celebrated at Karnataka's Statehood day since 1956-perhaps the date of introduction was meant to pay tribute to Karnataka people by commencing its operations on November 1. I've boarded this train thrice. Once from SBC to NZM, twice from NZM to SBC in 3 tier. This is probably my most favourite journey till date because of the places we touch and also the train!

It's nice to see the 1st class corridor carriages again with privacy plus AC. I travelled on this route from Hyderabad to Delhi in the 1960s but there was no AC. The old days was steam engines and then diesel. We only had fans and it was very hot in summer. I used to play cricket in the corridor with another boy who was travelling. Very fond memories. Shuriya!

States whose capital don't have dedicated Rajdhani Express - Andhra Pradesh (after bifurcation) - Rajasthan - Madhya Pradesh - Uttarakhand - Himachal Pradesh - Punjab - Haryana - Uttar Pradesh (UP had a Rajdhani for a brief period - 10 months; but it was later downgraded to AC SF) - All of the NE States except Tripura

@@therailcraze301 of course, but Dibrugarh is not a state capital. The question by Dolesh was, which states do not have dedicated Rajdhani from their capitals. Ahmedabad Rajdhani also goes through Jaipur, but Jaipur does not have a Rajdhani of its own. Even MP is the same case

@@therailcraze301 Right. The only reason i didn't include Gujarat in the list was due to the proximity of Ahmedabad to Gandhinagar. As many are aware, Gandhinagar (GNC) hasn't been as popular a Railway station as ADI is, which is quite strange. Having said that, even Goa state capital isn't connected, Panaji doesn't have a Railway station of its own, but it's proximity to Madgaon is the reason why i didn't mention it. Madgaon got a Rajdhani just a few years ago
