I have studied Astrology 20 yrs back from ICAS & am practicing since then. However, I am not satisfied by my own predictions, as many of them have not been True/Accurate. I don't know the reason. I liked this interview.

with respect to the great master and to the limitations of time I was hoping he would answer if ever so briefly why the movements of the remote planets in our solar system have the affect they do upon human psychology and karmic destiny, metaphysical science or not astrology like so belief perspectives says more about the inquirer than any objective reality, loved the interview and the sage subject...aum ganesha

Thank a lot for a wonderful brilliant interview! This is in regards to John Barker's question, with my limited understanding I am making an attempt to answer your question. I do not think that the planets are causing any affect on the subjects, its metaphorically astrogists speak that way. Actually the configuration of planets indicates the nature of person and whether his actions bear fruit or not at that moment. Its not the configuration that determines the nature of the person, its rather the Nature or the Gods laws determine at what point the living entity comes to manifest in a different form in that particular environment. Astrogists based on the configuration of the environment at point of manifestation of the living entity can determine, what the living entity goes through, whether his endeavours will be successful or fail.

Wonderful interview. However, I disagree that we should try to get scientific validation for astrology. The scientific worldview, as it stands today, is incompatible with the Dharmic worldview. It lacks knowledge of forces that are considered fundamental in astrology and there is no way to bring them into the purview of modern science - it is too stubbornly intolerant of any contrarian views. To artificially fit the astrological model of the world into the modern scientific model of the world is dumbing-down of astrology itself.
