I do Delhi-Bangalore 3-4 times in a year. This used to be my preferred route, not anymore. Mumbai - Pune pe raat ko 1 bje bhi truck Wale jam kr dete hain. Cross karne k liye best time hai 3am -5am. I also learnt it the hardway ki Google bar bar kuch bole to kr lena chahiye. The second thing that you could have done better was, always refuel from Gujarat or Karnataka while crossing Maharashtra.

Always take Borsad - Vasad - Vadodara Bypass - Karjan …( only difference is 150 Rs Vasad Toll ) … but very smooth and 6 lane highway ..!!

Ravi ji - Hope you had a good trip to Goa. I saw your photographs on Instagram. I like your passion to travel. When we are on the road, in spite of whatever care we take, minor accidents may happen. Do not worry and carry on with the journey and enjoy the trip. Couple of suggestions: Seat belts to rear passengers & stop at 10 PM and resume journey early in the morning if possible. Thanks.

Hope you and your family are well. Accidents do happen when we do frequent travel on roads, my recommendations are to avoid night driving as visibility wont be best and second your son should not sit on the Lap in front sit. Seatbelt saves life, and its far more effective than air bag. Since I stay in Pune, I can say Mumbai Pune Expressway is a Big No during long weekend. Also it has many eating options, not sure how come you didn't get it.
