Rajmachi Firefly EP1 -Festival started, don't miss this opportunity (June 2022)

As we await the upcoming monsoon season's first showers, we witnessed the season of fireflies. Western Ghats jungles started twinkling with a small light, and this period is the mating season for fireflies.
Fireflies Festival at night covers the forest with small twinkling lights. Pre-monsoon during May and June months you can spot thousands of fireflies around Mumbai and Pune. Rajmachi Fort Trek and Camping is the best location in Maharashtra to spot fireflies. We went with our bikes (Jawa and Enfield) and Gypsy to the village of Rajmachi Fort. We spotted fireflies after sunset around the Udhewadi village. Fireflies are called Kajawa in Marathi. We also cooked maggie at night.
