@@yuvi1554 The real horror movie is what it's been & still is for most women in indian marriages under a completely bias, hypocritical, patriarchal society, where the institution was designed to exploit, suppress & abuse women emotionally, physically & sexually, all under the pretext of culture! Divorce is only the climax, which very few marriages reached earlier. Even now, majority of marriages don't reach divorce. The climax this lawyer is referring to is a handful that reach them. Yes, with increased awareness, education, some women are standing up for themselves & there's more to come. Anyways this lawyers views were pretty prejudiced...anyone with little common sense could see through. So if you have better sense focus on being a good partner, don't exploit your partner or take her for granted. Ask her for her choice & opinion all along the journey & marriage will mostly likely never reach divorce. The cases the lawyer was talking about are still a very small percentage of all marriages, so don't get carried away. If you disrect or try to exploit your partner you are more likely to bear the consequences. Of course there are some unfortunately, unfair incidents for men...nothing compared to the scary number of abusive marriages women continue to silently be in...almost every marriage in india is emotionally abusive for women till date!

Waiting to see that in the next 24 hours or so, how many women comment positively and genuinely in support of men and raise their voices against thid legal terrorism. I remember during Nirbhaya case, over 10 million MEN flooded the streets of India to protest. Similar happened in response to the Kolkata incident this year. I've always been taught ti respect women and empathize with whatem they go through in life, but how many women are ready to voice out against these attrocities commited by women over men, let's see that. Bcoz if no woman cares about our issues, I wonder whether we should any more care any more about voicing out regarding their safety and other issues...

As a lawyer myself, I believe that while the laws may appear biased on the surface, the reality tells a different story. More often than not, these laws are misused rather than applied for their rightful purpose. I fully agree with the learned counsel's observation-when someone chooses to exploit legal provisions, the opposing party is often left defenseless. Tragically, the very individuals these laws are designed to protect continue to face significant struggles in accessing justice.

Guys, with this conversation, there are few things to learn for all of us ( Men) 1. Always try to marry a girl, who has a brother. This will help you to cross case his brother. ( we all know how we can do) 2. Leave separate to your parents post marriage. 3. Transfer your property assets to your parents name or to trust. 4. Dont share you secrets to atleast first five years of marriage 5. Marry some one who is not as rich as you. She should be from a poor family also

I appreciate the eye opening discussion on how certain laws seem to be skewed in favor of women, and the lack of legal consequences for wrongful actions in some cases. It's important to understand that while these laws aim to protect, they should not be misused, as it can lead to unfair treatment of men as well.MARRIGE is such a deeply personal and sensitive institution, and it's painful to see how legal loopholes and societal pressure sometimes turn it into a battleground. Listening to this podcast made me reflect on how crucial it is to have fair and balanced laws that protect both men and women equally. I agree that awareness and conversations like these are necessary, but they also left me questioning whether the institution of marriage, as it stands, is still the right choice for people.
