Sahir, the lyricist wrote songs for not more than 70 films, and within this set limit reached a stature beyond measure and comparison. He wrote for all seasons but finally, in whatever genre he wrote, the intricacies reflected pain. This pathos made him 'Sahir'. Thank You.

Wrong. Sahir embodied a huge pool of work, almost 750 songs grained in 122 films.

@@aumarifa - well this information is not from my side. Akshay Manwani's book - 'Sahir Ludhianvi - the people's poet is the place where I extracted the details. Incidentally, I have read this book. Thank you

@@vimmivimmi3173 No disrespect, brother. I shared the above information from articles that i read recently when I got obsessed with Sahir. Regardless of how many films he worked in, he wrote 700+ songs which is a great body of work i suppose.

The all times Gr8 poet/lyricist Sahir was the body n soul of lyrics. Habib Jalib the famous pakistani poet was his ardent fan,he in his Lament on Sahir captioned 'TAJ MAHAL KI MAUT' praised him profusely acknowledging him as a guide of modern urdu poets.

Pls can you write here the next part of that incident, what exactly javed saab wanted to say?
@buddhadipmukherjee42557 ай бұрын
@@nachiketdevasthali9099 I'll finish the story. After paying 200 rupees, Javed Sahab started to drive away. As he was driving, he suddenly swerved violently to a corner, stopped the car, and just cried. Sahir had given him that exact amount many, many years ago, and never accepted it back. That day, after all those years, he had accepted the returned amount from beyond the grave.

In a magazine write up, Javed Saab had narrated the same scene of Sahir Saab lending him some money. In that write up he had said that Sahir Saab lent him Rs. 100/- (not Rs. 200/-) and ultimately he paid those Rs. 100/- to the Taxi Driver who drove him to Sahir Saab's residence after his death. (The Driver stood there whole day as Javed Saab forgot to pay and release him.) Here the incidence narrated is different. Strange.

Ranjeet Paradkar I heard somewhere on u tube that he borrowed 300 Rs and the fellow who dug the grave came up to Javed Saab and told him that he was not paid 300 Rs for the digging of the grave, therefore he took out 300 Rs from his pocket and gave him. Strangely this is again another version of his story, sadly what ever happened ho gaya, magar different versions of kahavtha is not proper in our Indian culture regardless of deen or dharam. I don't trust this fellow .
