Great representation of the oppressed people of J& K. Issues raised by Syed Ruhullah Mehdi are the voices of every citizen of J&K. The quota system especially for executive and decision making posts is devastating to the people of the state. It has not only encouraged the mediocracy rule in the state but also buried ambitious meritorious students into the rubble for the fault of being non-category. It has been a shameful act of all previous govts to consolidate their voting bank, but BJP Govt has crossed all lines to ensure buying loyalty of various communities in the state and tried to create further division in the social balance of the state. This law of the quota system should be abolished for ever, otherwise another Bangladesh style spontaneous resentment is not that far in J&K also that could go out of hand. Thanks Ruhullah saheb for initiating the debate and people of state especially youth are looking forward to seeing unjust law end once for all. Govt should focus on improving educational upliftment of all but not kill merit to appease quota brigade.
