Kushans gave importance to Buddism, but looking at their coins, it is all Shiva and Lakshmi. There are hardly any coins with Buddha. Why? Please read my name before you read the rest. My parents were of different nationalities and religions. Mum was Indian and Hindu, Father was Iranian citizen and Muslim. Neither converted to either religion, and I have no religion. I am born a Citizen of India. They were both massive history nerds, and they wanted a name neither Hindu, nor Muslim. Not Indian, neither Iranian. They picked Kanishka, the Emperor of India. A Buddhist man of Central Asian heritage who ruled from Gandhara, who, on his coins gave respect to all religions. Also, just like the little girl at the start of the video, apparently they felt my feet were too large as a new born. As a grown man, I wear a size 14 (India/UK shoe). I hope to some day visit Mathura and see the statue of the Baselius Baselion, just to compare the only thing I as an average man can compare with him. My shoes. He's too great a man for me to compare anything else with.

From Kaniska's rule Greek was discarded and was replaced with bactrian(an Iranian language). He literally wrote in his inscription as *Shaonanoshao Kanishki Koshano* "King of Kings, Kanishka the Kushan" (Bactrian) and *Mahārāja Rājadhirāja Devaputra Kāṇiṣka* "The Great King, King of Kings, Son of God, Kanishka"(Sanskrit)

May it be for the benefit and pleasure of all living beings. In the possession of the Sarvāstivādin teachers. Now you decide which language is this?

@@rtam7097 Kharosthi script. Also the canister is not something the average subject would have scene, let alone held. The language he'd address his subjects is the one that is the common language. Kushans were Aryan horselords. The Kushan pass is far north in Afghanistan, their coins have Athena and Anahita on them. They were not Hindus, they were not Indians. They were horselord Aryans. They ruled us, and their descendants probably live and walk amongst us. But Sanskrit would not be their language, as they clearly consider Bactrian their language not Sanskrit.
