Thanks for watching. I didn't want to re solder the battery leads so just used xt90 on esc...But I did consider the qs8 or ec5.

Yep my truck does the same thing with the max 6 g2 and stock motor. I’m going to get a new motor soon,i wanted to wait until my xmaxx motor burnt out but it’s annoying as i seem to have a delay and the cogging. When the truck flips over i try to flip it back simulating the self righting feature but when i mash the throttle there is a short delay in power making it very difficult to get the truck rocking so it will flip back over.

I used a max6 and 4990/1650kv….runs great….but yes…needed a custom motor mount

@@markcole6475 Nice 👍... Actually if the max6 g2 was mentioned by hobbywing stating it's NOT compatible with sensorless motors most users would never have this issue and either buy the sensored combo or a sensorless esc

How are the temps? I want to put the 1650 in my new XRT, but I feel like its too heavy

@@Diaszurana temps are fine …using the stock fans on the motor…I don’t have to push it nearly as hard with the max6 set up vs the stock esc/motor…..noticeable more power from HW.

I just got this same esc. I noticed that when you turn on the fan starts then stops, so this esc must have thermostatic control for fan?

@@shawnscott9704 Correct. The fan will only work after the esc heats beyond the set threshold. I have modified the fan wire to plug into the receiver so it's on throughout

@@DrDicht86 the fan will only work when esc gets hot. Else it will be off. But you can alter the fan power cable and connect it to receiver for continuous operation...that way esc will be cool. I'll be doing that very soon

@@georgfrode8993 hobbywing has not released any new firmware yet. They said they will but have not done so. Most likely they will just force users to use the g2 esc with a sensored motor combo

Is anything else needed to program the ESC other than to download the Hobbywing APP?
