Kabhi kabhi was a very matured and unconventional love story shot in very beautiful locations in kashmir. The cinematography was brilliant. The best thing about yash chopra films is that he always presents films in grand scale and the scenery in his films look very beautiful and engaging for the audience like we literally live there. All songs were beautifully shot and were some of the best songs ever. Kudos to khayyam sahab for the songs. Initially it looked like an unlikely pair for amitabh bachchan and shashi kapoor but they both were brilliant. Rakhee and waheeda rehman both were best actresses of their generation together for the first time was icing on the cake. Rishi kapoor and nitu singh were also good. Naseem was good in her own part but her character was not very likeable. But most importantly the story was not over-dramatised and was well balanced that manages to hold the audience all throughout without getting boring. Just one thing i didn't understand is why the adopted parents not given enough imporance? Because the parents who adopt you and raise you with so much love should be given the highest place for children. A child can not just run away from them. Overall it was one of the best romantic films directed by yash chopra aapka narration as usual bahoot hi achcha laga.

Rare and interesting informations as always. Congratulations and thanks rakesh ji. In reference to the relationship of yash chopra and parveen babi . Parveen babi played heroin role in yash chopras deewar and Kala patthar. According to my memory I read in a magazine that parveen babi also signed by yash chopra in silsila and she has completed few days shooting schedule in kashmir but it is not known why rekha replaced her.

राकेश जी, सप्रेम 🙏🙏🙏नमस्कार मेरे विचार से कभी कभी साहिर साहब और ख़य्याम साहब के लिये ही बनाई थी दोनों के बेहतरीन योगदान के बगैर फिल्म की कल्पना नहीं की जा सकती ,इस फिल्म से साहिर और ख़य्याम साहब की इंडस्ट्री में वापसी हुई थी ,साहिर साहब को मैं हमेशा से हर एक पल.का शायर कहता हूं वाकई हर मौजू पर उनके शेर बेहतरीन होते हैं। यही हाल ख़य्याम साहब का है इस फिल्म के बाद ही उन्होंने नूरी बाज़ार, थोड़ी सी बेवफाई और उमराव जान अदा जैसी बेहतरीन फिल्में इंडस्ट्री को दी । एक्शन फिल्मों के दौर में कभी कभी का हिट होना एक सुखद आश्चर्य है। आपका अंदाज़ ए बयां हमेशा की तरह बेहतरीन है। धन्यवाद 🙏🙏🙏कुलविंदर सिंह रखराज 🙏🙏🙏

It is quite surprising that amitabh bachchan and shashi kapoor who were still young actors and at the peak of their career still agreed to play old matured characters. This was perhaps their first movoe where they both played an older character in the entire film barring the beginning. How was it possible for yash chopra to convince two prominant rising stars to play such older roles????

Ye baat sach hai ke deewar ke action angry young man avatar ke baad Bachchan ka ye avatar shayad audience ko pasand nahi aata lekin baki ka kam yash chopra ki direction , Sahir sahab ki shayari aur Khayam sahab ki music ne kar dia . Film maine dekhi hai . Mujhe bohot achhi lagi. Actually main ye film sirf Amitbabh sir ke liye dekha tha lekin dekhne ke bad mujhe har kalakar ka kaam mann bha gaya. Ek bat sir mein aapko bolta hoon , waqt badalta hai , badalte waqt ke sath audience ki ruchi aisi Gandi ho gayi ke aaj ke daur me koi achhi film banti hai to woh flop ho jaati hai . Lekin uss zamane ki audience har tarha ki achhi film dekhti thi . Film maker to achha hona chahiye but audience bhi achha hona chahiye. Jo tab tha par aaj nahi hai .

In kabhie kabhie, when the older version of amitabh smokes a cigar, it was unintentionally funny. 😂😂😂. Not that amitabh didn't play his part perfectly but smoking a sigar was not looking suitable on his persona because he was still a young actor who was the new angry young man and a rising star, and smoking a cigar was only suitable to older character actors and films' main villains like ajeet, pran, and others like ashok kumar, etc. Please like or comment if you agree.

This movie would have been extraordinary had Rajesh Khana starred in either of the two leads. Amitabh didn’t suit the romantic lead and Shashi Kapoor was too weak of an actor to present a challenge to Amitabh’s towering presence. Only Vinod Khana and Rajesh had the star quality and the acting talent to not be dominated by the big B.
