We have been threatening to buy a single rotor rake for the past few years. Can anyone tell me how they would fair out with silage? Mowing with a 9ft Kuhn. We be hoping to get 3 rows into 1

I always feel like a single rotor is only half a rake..... they don’t need to be run at 540 as it tends to throw it out under the curtain, usually 400-450 is plenty, depends on crop and your ground speed. Hard to believe we hardly had any good weather since this. Super looking hay. Be worth 50 a bale soon enough 🤐😊

We have a top of the range single rotor Kuhn but it's pointless you can buy a lower spec two rotor for the price of it so it's painful knowing that,Nice video Alan and John

Time is of the essence! Agreed... watching the footage back the rake needs slowed down a bit to prevent flicking the dry stuff too far.

When selecting between 1000 and 540, turn off the tractor and leave the pressure off the gear. It wont grind then
