Thanks for the refresher course. I'm an old Vietnam Airborne Infantryman retired 1SG. Tour in Nam. The instruction was designed for young trainees. After 8 or 10 setups you do things instinctually in the field. The training instruction is supposed to make it where an idiot can comprehend it.

NLT 1000 actions on for ambush. Ok well, late arrival, we got 10min to ETA of PAX. Soldier: "Sir, I do not have sufficient time to place the claymore". Ridiculous, after EIB no one does this :D

i thought it was blasting cap and claymore set up 1st, wouldn't leaving your end that gos to the clacker behind you a safety hazard........

why would you test your trigger every step????? and even with the complete set up in place why would the mine not explode? and why need this last test done anyhow? how could the tester know that the power gose into the detonater??? wouldnt it just go boom ???

Too complicated and way too long proceedure for setting it up. It can't be used in a hurry when time is of essence. Why not just a simple plug-in and ready to fire?
