That is really cool. The quality of the effects are really great also. That sounds just like a bass! I guess I was turned off of multi-effect pedals after buying a cheap Zoom 505 ten years ago.

@idofdk I havent tried out the Boss Me50, but I have the Rp355 and I think its amazing. The looper is so much fun to use and the quality of sound on it is pretty sweet for something so small.

@BigTy3986 Yes, the GTRBAS preset does a great job making the lower strings sound like a bass. Not so much the high strings, but that's OK. Just got one of these, and it's awesome.

@lonetreecreek this isn't the pedal for that application, this is more of a recording/practice tool. with a rp1000 you can bypass your amps preamp or you can just add fx both before and after the preamp section, so everything falls into the right place and gets you the best possible tone.

whe plugged via usb to your computer, the rp becomes your sound card, that means it controls both input and output. If you want to use your speakers as monitors you have to plug them into the rp headphones out. hope that helped

@guitarjunkee32 I did the same thing initially, but then I found someone who made the mistake of only buying a Digitech RP80. I sold that underprivileged soul my brand new RP 350 and got myself a brand new RP 355 with the money. So now we are both happy campers, since we made upgrades.

Because thats one more bit of gear I have to lug around and set up. One of the big reasons I choose the RP350 is the convenience. But, yeah. A Boss RC-2 would give more looping time and additional features. Its a hard choice.

really nice dude but i got a problem :S why my expression pedal (volume) doesnt work !? i mean y i want my guitar to be in silence y can not do it any more with the peal (wah pedal) and also i saw the other demo video but you didnt show how to controll the efect with the pedal like the delay if its down you dont hear delay but if you put all the way the wah pedal you can hear the efect can you help me !?

thanks very much for confirming. of course if the looper was stereo and you could use drums with it, it would be perfect. But this thing is amazingly great for the price (especially when compared to something like the Boss me-20)

@paula280491 You can play through just about anything if you have the correct cables for what your playing into. Some musicians use RPs live, without any amps at all, and run it through a club or arena's P.A. system. A lot of times if I'm just practicing and in a hurry, I just want to plug and play. I hook up my Seinheisser closed-back headphones to the back of my RP 355 and play that way. There's a helpful mixer/amp selector button in the back of the processor so you can.maintain sound quality.

Can you tell me all your various settings of your bass patch? I know it's a factory preset with the pitch shifter down an octave (-12), but everything else? My presets sounds very warped & not like the bass here. I've tried lots of different settings and none emulate the bass like your patch Thanks!!!!!!!! 😁

How long does the looper work on the RP355? On the RP225 it's 20 sec. which is a bit short in my opinion.

Hi, I have a question about the looper. You say it can record 20 seconds, is that TOTAL time?. For example, if I lay a 10 second track as my base loop, can I only record 10 more seconds as overdub? or is 20 seconds the maximum for the base loop?. Thank you.

@ralfjung not true.. the RP500 was released before the RP355.. which is an extension of the RP350.. it has a looper which the RP500 does not have.. it also has the learn-a-lick mode that lets u slow down a track to learn solos.. which the RP500 doesnt have again... I think RP355 being cheaper is well worth the buy.. the RP500 has multi-stompbox mode where u can switch easily between various stomp boxes..

For mightyburee you can only record 20 seconds worth of audio. It will play until you hit stop

No, I'm not worried about big & heavy. Just that it's one more thing to carry and setup. (Or 3: pedal, power, & cable.) & I'm not sure if I'll enjoy a looper or not. Besides the RC-2, I don't know another looper inexpensive enough for me to consider. $200 for an RP355; I can probably get a good price for the RP350; & I get a looper to play with & the same convenience I already have. So, if I shouldnt buy Boss, that makes the decision easy. I've always heard good things about them, though.

it is mainly made for guitar, but it has presets that mimic a bass when using the guitar PLUS you can use it as a bass processor as well.....in that case you might wanna reduce the gain of amps and stompboxes and adjust the FX paramenters. I personally have use it many times with a 5 string bass and it worked very well

I always thought the RP 350 was ideal, but I always wanted JUST SOME looping, 30 secs is fine with me for jamming - I'm not paying around another 200 dollars for a looper pedal.

from wjhat I hear in the first or second loops, the chorusing is in stereo until the loop is made, then it collapses to mono. Not a big deal - since the pedal has so much stuff in it, the looper is gravy to me.

Yeah 20 secs is enough to loop a whole chord sequence and work improv over. There is something so awesome about instantly hearing what you just played - I did have a Boss DD-5 - I think it sampled for 2 Seconds! talk about a tease...i
